1914-18 Roll of Honour Parish of Duxford This is a transcription of the Roll of Honour held in the United Reformed Church, Duxford, CAMBRIDGE.
The names included here are those of men who hazarded their lives in the Great War to maintain the sacred ideals of Christian Civilisation The ninety six names have been rearranged into alphabetical order and those who did not come home are marked with an * The 1901 and the 1911 census returns have provided approximate addresses and years of birth. The Archives column notes those mentioned in the Chapel records and Philip Wade (833560) can give further details. The School and St Peter s records have been provided by Phyll Longstaff (832000) who can provide further details. Thanks are due to those who have offered corrections to the first edition. Further comments will be welcomed. second edition; June 2016 ------------------------------------------------ The Roll of Honour was framed for the Revd Page Hogben by JW RANSOM S and is numbered by them as 29816 (it appears from the Chapel Minutes that the Roll was compiled as the War progressed and presumably preceded the War Memorial)
