HANA Features HANA Objects Use the information modeler in SAP HANA Studio to create views that facilitate analysis of your data. These views are based on data in the underlying tables and do not contain data themselves. Analysis, edition for OLAP, can connect to: Analytic views Graphically built InfoProvider type artifacts Calculation views Built with SQL scripts that contain an additional logical view. 2013 SAP AG. HANA Features Analysis OLAP supports all the typical analysis workflows on top of HANA 1.0+ Crosstab Navigation / Drilldown Member Filtering (including search) Sorting Swap Axes Measures on column, row or background axes Calculated measures (+,-,*,/) & Dynamic Calculations (e.g. Rank, Moving Average, etc.) Totals Aggregation Conditional Formatting Prompts / Variables Hierarchies in Analytic Views & Calculation Views Supports unbalanced hierarchies implemented with Parent/Child attribute views. Configuration Optimize the default configuration Analysis edition for OLAP is pre-configured with certain safety belt defaults. One of these defaults limits the number of cells returned by a query. How to set up Analysis OLAP for SAP HANA

Define SAP HANA connection in BI 4.0 SP4+ SAP BusinessObjects BI4.0 SP4 onwards already includes the necessary client files to connect to SAP HANA. Use the CMC to define a connection to a HANA analytic or calculation view CMC > OLAP Connections > New Connection Choose SAP HANA as the provider Enter values for Server and Port Click Connect and choose your analytic view or calculation view Select pre-defined or prompted authentication Click Save 2013 SAP AG. Security - Authentication Security - Authentication Access to HANA is enabled via OLAP Connections defined by an administrator from the CMC Choice of one OLAP Connection per SAP HANA view or one OLAP Connection per SAP HANA server (lets the user choose which views they want to report off) 2013 SAP AG.
