K 3433/1 Model DBD A..K 1X/.. Functional description ressure relief valves model DBD are direct operated poppet type valves. Superior pressure verses flow characteristics permit application as a main system, port, or crossport relief valve. he valve consists of valve body (1), adjustment spring (2), and poppet with integral dampened spool (3). he 9150 SI (630 bar) version (lower right) incorporates a ball and seat design (4). ressure is manually set by adjustment mechanism (5). Compression spring (2) seats the poppet (or ball) maintaining a normally closed condition. When pressure acting on the exposed surface area of poppet (3), or ball (4), exceeds the spring force, the valve opens relieving pressure to tank. o prevent irradic modulation, the poppet stroke is dampened by spool (6). o optimize performance, seven pressure adjustment ranges are available. With each pressure range there is no preload on the spring when the adjustment mechanism is completely backed out. his allows adjustment of all pressure ranges to zero pressure (dependent on flow see performance curves on page 2). Choose the closest range to enhance the resolution on the adjustment.
