Uniform and Grooming Policy OVERVIEW This policy and procedure applies to all employees of Regional Express Pty Limited who are required to wear uniform for company business. Pilots and Flight Attendants are to refer to the Policy and Procedures Manual and Airport Operations Staff are to refer to the Airport Services Manual for specific details. PURPOSE This document establishes policies governing entitlement, ordering and distribution of uniforms for Rex business. This document also establishes policies in relation to presentation and deportment of employees whilst in uniform. Overview All employees are to remember that when they are wearing a Rex uniform, they represent Rex. All employees wearing a Rex uniform will ensure that they are correctly dressed and portray a positive and professional image. Uniforms will be kept in good repair, be neat, clean and well pressed. 2. Uniform and Dress Standards Uniforms remain the property of the Company and are not to be worn except on duty, travelling to or from duty or, if required, travelling to or from a training course or as per Company Manuals. All staff are to maintain a high standard of professional presentation whilst in Company uniform. Uniforms must be clean, well ironed and well presented at all times. Failure to comply with the Uniform and Grooming Policy may result in disciplinary action.

3. Grooming and Appearance Expectations 3.1 Jewellery Jewellery must compliment the uniform, be worn in moderation and be conservative in style. Natural white pearls, gold, diamond or silver pieces are suitable. Bracelets, ankle chains, nose studs, or, evidence of body piercing are not permitted. Necklaces CSO's must wear the Company issue scarf and not a necklace. Flight Attendants are permitted to wear necklaces during certain months of the year. Necklaces are an alternative to the scarf. The two must NEVER to be worn together. The following applies: One necklace only, A small pendant/s, no larger than 10 cent piece is permitted, and No longer than 40 cm. Rings - Female Three rings maximum (wedding and engagement rings are classed as one). Not to be worn on index finger or thumb. Avoid ornate or elevated styles. Rings - Male A wedding band and a dress ring of good quality and reasonable size can be worn. Not to be worn on index finger or thumb. Ear Rings Ear Rings Female Ear rings are to be gold silver diamond or pearl. Dangle, drop, loop and sleeper ear rings are not permitted. Only one ear ring per ear at the bottom of the lobe Ear rings are to be no larger than a 5 cent coin. Ear Rings Male No ear rings allowed Other Piercings No other visible body piercings are permitted. 3.2 Tattoos Staff with tattoos that are associating directly with passengers or in view of the general public are to ensure that any tattoos are not visible.

Tattoos on the feet or ankles must not be visible through stockings and must be covered with tape or a dressing prior to commencing your duty. Tattoos that are present should not be offensive to others. Where they are deemed to be offensive they should be appropriately covered prior to commencing your duty 3.3 Eye wear Must be conservative in style and coordinated with your uniform. Slightly tinted lenses are permitted, as long as your eyes are visible. If wearing contact lenses, ensure that they are either natural eye colour or clear. Bright coloured or cat eye lenses are not permitted Sunglasses can be worn outdoors (outside the cabin, office or terminal) and must be taken off completely (not worn like a hair band) when talking to passengers face to face or when walking indoors. Sunglasses should not be worn on the top of your head whilst in the view of the public. Flight crew may wear sunglasses in the flight deck. 3.4 Hair Hair should reflect the corporate image: simple, conservative, classical & elegant. Hair must be clean, conditioned and well maintained. Unnatural colouring, severe bleaching, exaggerated highlights, heavy streaking or visible hair extensions are not permitted. Coloured hair should be well maintained and re-growth should not be visible. Must never fall in front of your eyes. Wet or gelled looks are not acceptable. Hair must never been maintained in view of the public. Wispy or stray hairs should be kept neat all day. Female Hair may be worn out if the length does not exceed the base of the collar on the blouse. Hair must look well maintained at all times. It is preferable to have hair tied back if at all possible. If hair is tied back, hair spray should be used to ensure hair remains neat throughout the duty. If hair needs to be worn up there are the following options: pulled back from face (pilots, tie pony tail low at the nape of the neck to allow cap to fit correctly) in a pony tail, braiding, buns, and French rolls. Pony tails - must not sit higher than the top of ear and must be no longer than 30 cm. If longer than this hair must be worn up in a bun or roll. Plaits - a ribbon must be worn at the top Hair may be worn out if the length does not exceed the base of the collar on the blouse. Hair must be tied back if the length exceeds the base of the collar.

Bold accessories are not to be worn tortoiseshell shell, brown or black hair clips/ties only. Hair combs/bobby pins must match the colour of the hair. Navy or Orange ribbons are acceptable to match the scarf, 2 ribbons are not permitted Males Back of hair should not fall below middle of shirt collar Hair should be pulled back for OH&S when working as ground crew Pony tails (Flight Crew) are prohibited NOTE - the uniform issue scarf is not to be used as a hair accessory 3.5 Make-up - Female 3.6 Nails Front line staff (FAs and CSOs) - makeup must be worn, be clearly visible and should compliment the individual (minimum requirements are lipstick, mascara, blush and eye shadow) No extreme make-up colours Female Front line staff (FA s and CSO s) - Clear or French polish may be worn. Coloured polish is not permitted. be well presented and maintained, never appear bitten or torn, be buffed to a shine, and not be chipped (likewise nail varnish must not be chipped), not exceed 5mm from the tip of the finger. Must be well shaped/presented and clean at all times 3.7 Shoes Male Front line staff (FAs and CSOs) - Coloured polish is not permitted. Nails should be no longer than 2-3mm above the tip of the fingers FA s and CSO s Select a shoe that is well fitting to ensure comfort. Shoes are to be well maintained and polished regularly. Scuff marks are unacceptable. Females Dark navy court shoes (no accessories) Males Black shoes must be worn and polished regularly. Pilots

As per the Policies and Procedures Manual polished black, non-slip, corrosive-resistant tarmac shoes or dress boots are acceptable. Ramp Staff Ramp Staff are required to wear the appropriate safety footwear on the tarmac which is oil resistant, fuel resistant, acid resistant, slip resistant and anti static. The Company will reimburse Ramp Staff up to $100 every 2 years for the purchase of appropriate safety footwear. Staff will be required to submit an expense claim form with proof of purchased to their supervisor for reimbursement. 3.8 Watches 3.9 Hosiery A watch must be worn at all times for Air crew and CSO s. Colourful sports or gimmicky style watches are not acceptable. Flight Attendants only: classic business style, gold, silver, black, brown or navy band only, and Females Slate or Flesh coloured stockings are to be worn at all times when wearing a uniform (i.e. both skirts and trousers) Opaque pantyhose are not permitted. Hosiery should not have visible snags or ladders Knee-high stockings are permitted with trousers only. Socks Males Plain navy or black socks to be worn 3.10 Name Badges and Identification Name badges are part of the Rex Uniform for some staff Where applicable staff must wear a name badge and display their ASIC at all times while on duty. An employee arriving for a shift without a name badge may receive a disciplinary warning. Employees must pay for a replacement. Name badges must be worn on the left hand side (of the shirt or jumper) at all times. Not to be worn on the outside of the jacket. Small fund raising badges may be worn when applicable. 3.11 Scarves and Ties Females Flight Attendants should wear scarves at all times. However they may remove their scarf in the cabin for service if temperatures make it uncomfortable.

Scarves must be fully displayed at all times when worn. Scarves must be kept clean. Males Ties must be worn at all times when in public view, with the exception of Flight Attendants, who may remove their ties in the cabin for service if temperatures make it uncomfortable. Please note that pilots are entitled to remove their ties when in the cockpit or crew room. Airport staff may remove their ties in certain conditions subject to Management approval. Ties must be kept clean and fully displayed at all times when worn. 3.12 Under-Garments Neutral or white coloured under garments to be worn under the Rex shirts. 3.13 High Visibility Reflective Vests The Rex High Visibility vest is designed to make the wearer as visible as possible in all environmental conditions. The vest is to be worn at all times when on a tarmac area at all airports (including ALL outports). This includes when performing Pre-flight and Post-flight Inspection duties and greeting and farewelling passengers at the foot of the stairs during boarding and disembarkation. The vest may be worn in view of the public whilst in the process of completing operational duties such as load control functions however it is not to be worn in the public domain at other times when not required for safety. Identification (ID) is to be displayed in the pocket of the vest (remember to transfer ID from inner garments to the pocket of the High Visibility Vest). Care of your vest is your responsibility and must be kept in a clean presentable condition. 3.14 Shoulder Bags and Rex Roller Bags Shoulder Bags: Shoulder bags are available to all Rex Staff. These can be purchased through the euniform website for $35.00. Rex Roller Bags: Rex Roller bags are available to all Rex Staff. These can be purchased through the euniform website for $80.00. Flight Attendants: The Rex Roller bag and/or shoulder bag may be used by Flight attendants. At commencement Flight Attendants may choose one of the following options:

1) purchase both bags at the discounted price on the proviso that you purchase the roller bag (roller bag $20 / shoulder bag $35), 2) complimentary shoulder bag and opt for no roller bag (no cost to FA) 3) complimentary shoulder bag & purchase the roller bag (total cost $80 for the roller bag) 4) purchase roller bag and opt for no shoulder bag (total cost $20 for the roller bag) Allocation of the Roller Day Bag is 1 every 2 years. Flight Attendants are permitted to purchase an additional Roller Bag during this period, however it will be charged at the rate of $80. Allocation of the Shoulder Bag is 1 every 1 year. Flight Attendants are permitted to purchase additional Shoulder bags during this period, however it will be charged at the rate of $35. 3.15 Dress Standards Uniforms remain the property of the Company and are not to be worn except on duty, travelling to or from duty or travelling to or from a training course. Rex crew should maintain a high standard of professional presentation. Within the aim of maintaining professional standards, the presentation regulations will consider individual differences. A regular review of guidelines will ensure that they remain appropriate and functional. Full uniform must be worn from car park to the terminal and vice versa, or when on an overnight from airport to hotel and in the morning from hotel to airport. Whenever attending Company premises, all Crew should be neatly and professionally dressed. Dress standards should portray a professional image. Often casual clothes will not achieve the desired result. When attending any form of ground training all crew must dress in full uniform. 3.15.1 Handbags CSO s are permitted to have plain black or navy handbags only Flight Attendants are not permitted to use handbags 4. Personal Conduct Whilst in uniform, always adopt a good bearing. Remember that you are in the public eye and must present a confident and professional appearance, paying particular attention to demeanour and manner. Whilst in Uniform, staff members must not: slouch, cross or fold arms; walk or stand with hands in pockets; smoke, eat or drink in a public area which is not reserved for that purpose (Air Crew and Airport Staff are to refer to the Company Policy and Procedures Manual), Use a mobile phone, MP3 player, Ipod or other electronic device in view of the public whilst in the workplace

behave in a manner which may bring discredit to Rex; and enter alcohol licensed premises (e.g. pubs, bars or clubs). use or allow to be used any image or photograph or video of any staff member in uniform in any forms of media without written approval from your Manager. Media includes, but is not limited to, newspaper, television, internet (including social networking sites such as Facebook or MySpace) or other public domains. 5. Uniform Request Procedures An euniform order must be completed by all employees Uniforms entitlements cannot be rolled over to the subsequent year. Once an order has been received staff must log onto the euniforms site to confirm receipt. Uniform queries can be available by logging onto euniform Website. 6. Issue, Replacement & Alterations All uniform orders and enquiries are to be placed via the Rex euniforms website at http://uniforms.rex.org.au/ Orders made via phone, fax or email will not be accepted. New Flight Attendant uniform orders will be taken at ground school by Instructors and processed accordingly. Pilot Uniform Orders will be also made at ground school Where applicable, employees are issued with the standard Company Uniform and accessories not including shoes, jewellery and hair accessories at the Company's expense. Entitlement on initial issue, replacement and replacement is detailed in the Entitlement Table. Additional uniform items, over and above Company supplied items, may be purchased at the employee's own cost. Requests for new uniforms or change in uniform sizes before the planned replacement date will be at employee s own cost and must be made through the euniform website. All requests for exchanges and/or replacements of uniform items will be considered on a case by case basis and subject to the Supervisor s or Manager s approval. The Company will reimburse staff for standard uniform alterations (e.g. Alterations to trouser or skirt lengths). Reimbursements for other uniform alterations will be considered on a case by case basis.

Employees must seek approval for all alteration cost reimbursements from their department managers BEFORE sending their uniforms for alterations. Maternity Uniforms are issued to Flight Attendants and Hub Customer Service Staff who are pregnant. Employees requiring maternity uniforms must submit an euniform order. 7. Uniform Exchange Procedures Once an order is received, staff must try on all items for to ensure correct sizing and that items are free of any defects. Staff have 30 days from issuing to exchange their uniform All exchanges must be completed via the euniform site Once an exchange is logged in the euniform site, items are to be interport to Sydney Head Office, attention to Uniforms Department. An item can only be exchanged once (additional exchanges will require Management approval) All items are to be returned in the same condition as issued and in original packaging. 8. Return of Uniform Items Uniforms remain the property of the Company and upon termination or resignation all fully subsidised uniform pieces and items on issue must be returned to the Company before final salary payments will be made. All apparel supplied to staff must be laundered before being returned within seven days of ceasing employment. Any discrepancies will result in payment by the staff member and deductions will automatically be made from the final salary. Individually purchased uniforms may be retained provided they do not have any Regional Express identification that cannot be removed. Any staff member that fails to return all staff uniforms supplied by the Company shall be invoiced for the cost of the apparel. It may result in the matter being referred to the Federal Police Service and/or commencement of legal proceedings in the local court for debt recovery. The retaining of company uniforms when no longer employed by the company is a breach of the Transport Security Programme. 9. Amendments Rex may amend this Policy from time to time by giving you reasonable notice. Rex may notify you by using one or more of the following methods: (a) (b) (c) Mail; E-mail; or Notice on the Rex web site or memorandum

You should consult this Policy regularly to ensure that your activities comply with the most recent version. Enquiries regarding this Policy may be referred to your supervisor, and/or the Human Resources Department. 10. Uniform Workflow Diagram New Entitlement Request Requester/s No MC Approved?
