MISSION Our mission is to prepare Physician Assistant Post Graduates to be effective leaders and members of the PACT to support the VA commitment to Honor America s veterans by providing exceptional health care that improves their health and well being.
Program Highlights Primary Care Residency Our Training Focus is to Prepare Leaders & Primary Care Team Members in Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACTs). PACT is built on the well know concept of the Patient Centered Medical Home Model (PCMH). PACT Focus: Partnerships with Veterans Access to care using diverse methods Coordinated care among team members Team-based care with Veterans as the center of their PACT Our Training Framework is Guided by the Triple Aim of The Institute for Healthcare Improvement: Improving the patient experience of care Improving the health of populations Reducing the per capita cost of health care
Atlanta VAMC Atlanta VAMC has 405 Inpatient Beds Teaching Hospital providing full range comprehensive patient care and research The medical center oversees seven VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in addition to an outpatient clinic in Decatur and an outreach clinic in Rome, Georgia. Member of VISN 7 Active affiliations with Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine Close affiliations with institutions including Georgia State University, Clark Atlanta University, High Tech Institute, Georgia Regents University, and Mercer University.
