Overview What is crystalreports.com? crystalreports.com is a web-based report-sharing service that enables companies, regardless of size or IT resources, to instantly share business-critical information with the right people in a simple and secure manner. Often, Crystal Reports users distribute reports in either PDF or Excel via email or hard copy a manual process which is time-consuming and difficult to manage. With crystalreports.com, customers can further leverage their investment in Crystal Reports by instantly sharing and storing their reports on the web with no additional hardware, software or IT resource requirement. We host the service on your behalf. What is crystalreports.com for salesforce.com? crystalreports.com for salesforce.com provides enhanced connectivity between crystalreports.com, the leading on-demand report sharing platform, and your salesforce.com organization. This integration enables customers to: Publish, view, refresh and schedule reports from inside salesforce.com Share reports online and receive alerts when new reports are available View your operational reports alongside your salesforce.com reports Crystalreports.com for salesforce.com is part of an overall Advanced Reporting solution that Business Objects has designed for Salesforce.com customers. The solution is broken down into two areas: 1. Crystal Reports XI designer for designing Advanced Reports, the Crystal Reports Driver for salesforce.com (salesforce data connectivity), and a Report Pack of 21 sample salesforce.com reports. 2. Crystalreports.com integration within saleforce.com. This provides users the capability to publish, view, refresh, and schedule their Crystal reports within saleforce.com. You can learn more and purchase these products under the Analytics category at the salesforce.com AppExchange (http://www.appexchange.com).

What is a report Publisher? A report Publisher builds and manages a report space a collection of folders and reports hosted on crystalreports.com and displayed within a tab in the salesforce.com application. The report Publisher defines the folder hierarchy of a report space and uploads individual reports to that space. The report Publisher does not need to be a report author in many cases they publish reports generated by a designated report author. The report Publisher also acts as the administrator for the online crystalreports.com report space and owns the task of specifying a list of users who are authorized to view the report space. What is a report Viewer? A report Viewer is activated by the Publisher to view the reports the Publisher has uploaded to a crystalreports.com report space available within a Saleforce.com deployment. A report Viewer is not able to publish reports, they are only allowed to view the reports uploaded by the Publisher. Are salesfore.com users required to login when they click on the crystalreports.com tab? No. crystalreports.com for Salesforce.com provides single sign-on, meaning that users will be able to view report folders and access reports without having to log in. If a user is prompted to login or is not able to view report folders, they should contact their Salesforce.com Admin to ensure their crystalreports.com account has been created. What if my Company previously created a crystalreports.com Report Space? Your existing cystalreports.com report space can easily be integrated into your salesforce.com deployment. When the crystalreports.com tab is installed by an Admin, the single-sign on process will automatically recognize the Salesforce.com Admin and display the previously created report space. Please note the following requirements: The admin user setting up the crystalreports.com deployment within salesforce.com must be the Publisher of your company s existing crystalreports.com report space. The admin user setting up the crystalreport.com deployment within Salesforce.com is required to have the same company email address registered in both salesforce.com and crystalreports.com. If you have an existing crystalreports.com report space and you re having trouble viewing the report space within Salesforce.com, please contact crystalreports.com technical support by visiting our Support page: https://na.crystalreports.com/jsp/support.jsp

Publishing and Managing Crystal Reports on crystalreports.com How does crystalreports.com access my salesforce.com data? The Crystal Reports Driver for Salesforce.com connects Crystal Reports to the salesforce.com API, providing key benefits for salesforce.com customers: Report designers can connect Crystal Reports to their salesforce.com data, significantly increasing the reporting capabilities of their Salesforce.com deployment. Salesforce.com users that view reports on crystalreports.com can manually refresh reports and view the most recent data. The screenshot below displays the refresh button within the CR.com report viewer toolbar. 1. The Refresh button allows salesforce.com users to manually refresh report data. How do I publish my Crystal Reports to crystalreports.com? There are two ways to publish your Crystal Reports to crystalreports.com: 1. Within crystalreports.com: Navigate and hover over the folder you want to upload Crystal Report to, select add document, browse for your Crystal Report and upload the report. (Note: If you upload the Crystal Report and you want it to refresh and present live data against saleforce.com upon viewing, make sure the Crystal Reports XI file doesn t have the check box under the File menu to Save Data with Report.) 2. Using the Desktop Publisher. The desktop publisher provides an alternative for publishing and refreshing reports from your desktop machine. If you build Crystal Reports against other On Premise datasources (ie. SQL Server, Oracle, DB2), this tool allows you to refresh your data locally and automatically publish it to crystalreports.com. To learn more about the Desktop Publisher, visit the How to demo on the crystalreports.com Resources site. The Desktop Publisher can be downloaded and installed off of crystalreports.com under the Reports Tab. For reports that will need to be scheduled and modified on a continuous basis to crystalreports.com, this would be the recommended approach to publish. To publish your Salesforce reports using the Desktop Publisher, make sure you check the box Do not refresh

the report before uploading. In addition, make sure the Crystal Reports XI file doesn t have the check box under the File menu to Save Data with Report.) Does crystalreports.com support Crystal Report parameters? For Crystal Reports built using ONLY the salesforce driver, crystalreports.com supports both static and dynamic parameters that were built in the Crystal Reports XI designer. For other datasources at this present time, crystalreports.com doesn t support Crystal report parameters. How do I schedule a salesforce.com report? A crystalreports.com Publisher has the ability to schedule salesforce.com reports directly within the crystalreports.com application: 1. Go to a specific salesforce.com report in crystalreports.com and open the drop down menu. 2. Select Schedule from the list of options. 3. On the Scheduling page, enter the frequency and time that you want the report to be updated. 4. Enter your salesforce.com password and click Schedule. (the database field is not required). How do I view a scheduled salesoforce.com report? In crystalreports.com, go to the specified salesforce.com report, open the drop down menu and select History. The report history displays when the reports were run, what parameters were specified, and the status of the report.

Account Administration How do I manage my salesforce.com users as a Systeam Administrator? In crystalreports.com, navigate to the Users tab, and add a new user group. Once you add a new user group, click on the blue man (see below) to import your salesforce.com users in. Once the users are added into a group, the salesforce.com users will receive an email that their crystalreports.com account has been created. The next time the user logs into salesforce.com, they ll see the crystalreports.com tab, they ll click on it, and will see the salesforce.com administrator s report space. Troubleshooting Why do I see a crystalreport.com login screen after clicking on the crystalreports.com tab? Salesforce.com users should never be required to manually sign in to crystalreports.com when accessed within salesforce.com. If a login screen appears, try the following: Your crystalreports.com session may have expired. Simply click on a separate salesforce.com tab, allow the page to load, and then return to the cystalreports.com tab and a new session will be created. Your Admin user may not have created your account. Contact your salesforce.com Admin to ensure your account has been created. You can attempt to manually sign-in by using the login details provided by email when your crystalreports.com account was first created. Contact your Admin if you no longer have a copy of the crystalreports.com welcome email.
