This guide will walk you through the process of configuring tracking and postback URLs for Millennial Media in the Apsalar UI. Posting conversions to Millennial Media will allow us to optimize your campaign and block users who have already converted from being served additional ads, increasing the effectiveness of your advertising with us. This guide assumes you have already added your app to the Apsalar system and implemented the Apsalar SDK. Please note: Millennial Media operates two individual platforms (mmedia and mmdsp) and it s important to understand which one your campaign will be running on in order to configure the tracking URLs and postbacks correctly. If you do not know what platform your campaigns will be running on, your Account Representative will be happy to assist you. Tracking URL Configuration Step 1 Under Setup, navigate to the Attribution Tracking tab and select Smart Tags. Smart Tags allow both itunes and Google Play app store destination URLs to be reached from a single Tracking Tag. Click on the Create Campaign tab to begin setting up your Tracking Tag(s). In the Campaign Source dropdown you will see the two Millennial platforms for the conversion tracking campaign. Your Millennial Account Representative will inform you which to select. It will either be the direct publisher network mmedia or our RTB exchange network mmdsp. Step 2 In the Campaign Name field, enter the name of your app/conversion event. Next select the dropdown tab from the Destination field.
Step 3 You will be brought to the following Edit Destination screen where you can enter the Destination name and the app store destination URLs. Once you are finished filling out these fields, save your changes and generate your Tracking URLs.
Step 4 Click on the Tracking Tag tab to see the finished Apsalar Tracking Tag URL/Millennial macro formats for the platform you have selected. Click on the Action dropdown to export/save the tracking URLs as a csv file. This file can be sent directly your Millennial Account Representative once the Postback URL setup has been completed. The mmdsp click tracking URL will contain the following macro formats with the st= and h= fields containing values unique to your campaign http://ad.apsalar.com/api/v1/ad?re=0&st=495873019332&and1=jt_hid_sha1&aifa=jt_aaid&idfa=jt_idfa&cl=jt_reqid&h=e8c1fdbdfc9422 14ec595dd62139cb0f9943dc10 The mmedia click tracking URL will contain the following macro formats with the st= and h= fields containing values unique to your campaign http://ad.apsalar.com/api/v1/ad?re=0&st=496746478095&and1=[:_jv_hd_mmdid_sha1:]&aifa=[:_jv_aaid:]&idfa=[:_jv_uaid:]&urid=[:_jv_urid:] &h=fa5019c39b66b81db37388d9d0eb884e6410ed37
