Home Section After logging in using the user name and password provided to you by your account manager at BedSMS - Ghana, you will be redirected to the Clients Web home page. Here you have a general traffic overview by networks and by clients, news and contacts sections. In the far top left corner, the user name and total cash amount are displayed. Clicking the user name takes you to the My Account section, where you can edit your account and contact details and view payment history and your prices. In the far top right corner, local and server times are displayed, and the BedSMS - Ghana logo is located above.

The main menu allows you to access the Home, My Account, SMS Tools, Report Center and Help sections of the Clients Web. For easier use, the main menu can also be seen on the bottom of the page along with sales and support contacts. These two menus are visible in every section of the Clients Web. In order to get better insight into your traffic, the table on the left previews your traffic by networks and by clients for the default time period (the day before). The drop down boxes on the top left let you select views by network or by clients, and the desired time period. After selecting the desired time period and view, the table below and the chart on the right will display data for selected views. When selecting a time period longer than one day, you can drill down the chart to view day by day data of the selected network. The far right column shows the news section, clicking a link opens it in a new browser tab. Below are BedSMS - Ghana support contact details, with links to email and telephone. To explore and control your sign-in and general account and personal contact information, navigate to the My Account section. My Account The My Account section is divided into General, Payment History and My Prices sections, accessible over the sidebar on the left, below the main menu. General The General section displays and allows you to edit various parameters of your account. These are Account Information, Contact Information and BedSMS - Ghana Related Contacts. You can change these details without any restrictions. Account Information displays general information about your account. Using the drop down box, you can edit your time zone, and by clicking the sender name box, you can edit your default sender name (this name will be displayed when sending messages if sender name is empty). By clicking CHANGE PASSWORD, a new dialogue box pops up and allows you to change your password for accessing the Clients Web. BedSMS - Ghana Related Contacts are the contacts provided to your provider for receiving Different information, updates and replies to your enquiries. On your sales email address you will be receiving different sales-related information and invoices, on your support email automatically generated alerts and notifications, as well as replies to your enquiries, and the daily report email address will be used for delivering your report subscriptions. The Subscriptions section allows you to subscribe to different report versions (you can select one, all or none). If you wish to have the status report pushed to your web site, enter the URL in the Status Report URL field. NOTE: this is an option only if you have XML push-capable technology. Enter the numbers with the country prefix (e.g. 233208124614), click CHECK and the number info will be displayed: network name, country and all available routes with prices per message. NOTE: this is NOT an HLR check. This only displays info based on the country and network prefixes, an actual portability check is performed in the SMS Tools section. SMS Tools Reaching and managing your users and contacts is easy using SMS Tools. Find out how to use these userfriendly SMS Tools. The SMS Tools section allows you to send messages in bulk or as a single message, immediately or as a scheduled job, along with a view of all your traffic history. Organizing your contacts is easy and available with Contacts and Groups Manager. For navigating this section use the sidebar. SMS Manager SMS Manager is designed for single-message sending to one or multiple recipients. In order to send message(s) follow the procedure below: 1. Type the message text in the Message Body box. If you want to send Unicode messages, the program will recognize this action and automatically switch from regular text to Unicode. For sending binary messages see Message Options box. The characters are displayed above the text along with the number of concatenated messages. When you exceed 160 characters, this is the first concatenated message. 2. Select the sender ID details (numeric or text) from the Sender box. This is what will be shown in the TO field when the message is delivered to a mobile phone. 3. Enter the desired parameters from the Message Options box. For writing messages in Greek, reset the default message charset. Here you can set up data coding (Unicode or text) and SMS type (normal or flash). 4. Enter the recipient(s). In this section, you can select the recipients from the Contacts or Groups sections by ticking them and clicking Add Contacts/Add Groups, or you can type the mobile number (in the 233208124614 format) in the GSM Numbers field. Both actions need to be confirmed by clicking INSERT, which will display the recipients in the Total Recipients field. Select one or more recipients and click DELETE if you wish to remove them from the recipient list, or CLEAR ALL to delete all entered recipients. 5. Clicking Save Draft saves the message in case you decide not to send it right away and use it for next time. If you wish to continue sending, proceed to the next step. 6. Clicking SEND opens a FINAL ANALYSIS dialogue box, displaying message details (country, network price, status etc.). Clicking CONFIRM sends the message. For bulk messaging use see the Upload Tool section.

Draft Manager Draft Manager section displays all the saved message drafts, with the option of deleting a single entry (by ticking it and clicking DELETE) or all entries (by clicking DELETE ALL). Contacts Manager Contacts Manager allows you to easily add single contacts or to remove them. To enter a new contact, click NEW. This opens a NEW CONTACT dialogue box, where fields with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. After entering all the data, click CREATE to save the contact or CLOSE to exit without saving. To view contact details, click a contact from the list. In the dialogue box you can edit the contact by entering new data and clicking SAVE. When clicking a contact number, you will be redirected to SMS Manager for sending single messages. For easier contacts entry, use the Import contacts tool. For uploading from a file (.txt,.csv,.xls or.xlsx formats), select Upload file and browse for the required file. Click Add contacts to complete action. For manual input, select the appropriate function and enter the numbers in the text box. Make sure to use comma as the delimiter. Click Add contacts to complete action. The uploaded contacts by default have no group association. If you wish to assign them to an existing group, tick appropriate selection and select the group name from the drop down box. If you wish to create a new group, tick appropriate selection and enter new group name in the text box. Both actions need to be performed before completing action by clicking Add contacts. NOTE: you can upload only telephone numbers: email addresses, IM contacts or other are not supported. To search for a contact, enter a name in the required field and click FILTER. Groups Manager Groups Manager is designed for easy group management. To add a new group, type a name in the box and click CREATE next to it. This immediately lists the group below, and you can add the members by clicking the group in the list. NOTE: you can only add existing contacts to groups, which are displayed in the dialogue box, where you can also delete selected group members by clicking DELETE. To delete the whole group, select one or more groups and click DELETE SELECTED. Upload Tool Upload Tool is designed for bulk messaging by easy and time-saving upload of all necessary data. You can use this tool for sending messages to contacts that are not imported into your Customer Web. This tool is especially useful for quick, one-time bulk sending to multiple destinations. When using this sending method follow the procedure below: 0/6 Preparing a file for upload: If you don't already have a file prepared for upload, you have to create it. This upload file can be in any of the following formats:.txt,.csv,.xls, and has to contain sender or recipient details or message text sorted in columns (at least one column must contain data). For example, when sending the same message with the same sender ID to multiple destinations, all you need to do is upload a file containing destination numbers sorted in a column. When sending different messages with different sender IDs to numerous destinations, you have to define these details by sorting them in columns. Each column represents a data group and each line represents a single piece of data and must contain appropriate details (e.g. the destination column must contain destination mobile numbers). Data must be delimited using one of the following: tab, comma, semicolon or hash. 1/6 File Upload: File Upload is designed to save your time by uploading all the data from one place and sending messages with only a few clicks. Click Browse to select the message file and click UPLOAD.

2/6 Preview Data: The Options box: the system automatically detects only the tab separation. If you used # or comma to delimit the values, you must enter them in the Detected delimiter field. This way you will avoid cases where, when using several commas in your text, comma is detected as the delimiter instead of e.g. hash, which you intended as the separator. Skip first record: if you are naming value columns for your own reference, checking this box will recognize the first line as the name(s) of column(s). Choose file encoding: Allows you to select different alphabet settings. Click APPLY as needed. The Uploaded data box displays the values entered in the text: note that the appearance varies according to the number of recipients, delimiter type etc., as well as before and after applying the options. 3/6 Create Message: In the Message Body box, from the drop down box select which of the entered values is the message text and click INSERT TO MESSAGE. Click QUICK PREVIEW for a message preview. If you didn't upload message content because you're sending the same message to all the recipients, you can type the text in the message body. The Sender box allows you to select the numeric (Data) or alphanumeric (Text) sender ID. The Data ID value has to be selected from the drop down box, while the Text ID is the Default Sender ID definable in the My Account section under General Account information. Message Options defines data coding (text/binary) and message type (normal/flash), selecting them from their respective drop down boxes. In the Recipient box you define the recipients by selecting the appropriate value from the drop down box. 4/6 Data Processing: This section gives an overview of the actions and their results. The Results box displays successes and errors, while the Good Records box displays successful progress. In case of Bad Records, the Hints display why messages are treated as bad. 5/6 Analysis Overview: Status box displays total message count, total price and final status. Test SMS allows you to send a test message to a mobile number of your choice to confirm successful sending. Send Status and Cost Overview compiles the above data, as well as destination network and country details. 6/6 Sending messages: The last step is sending the message. The Sending Time box lets you choose between immediate sending and scheduled sending. Selecting Scheduled opens up a dialogue box where you select date, time and time zone parameters. Upload Name lets you name the particular job for your future reference. Click SEND and you're done.

Scheduled Jobs 233208124614is an overview of pending jobs with job names, uploaded time, scheduled sending times and other details. If you wish to change the scheduled time for a specific message, use the Edit button. This way you can define new date and time for the message to be sent. To confirm your action click Update or Cancel to dismiss the operation. In order to delete certain message, use the Delete button. History Use the History section for better and easier tracking and overview of your sent messages. You can filter the logs by date: select the desired dates in the boxes and click SHOW HISTORY. It is possible to download the log in.csv format by clicking Download, or to view details in a new dialogue box by clicking Details. Clicking a date opens the calendar. Clicking a month in the calendar opens up month selection, and clicking a year opens year selection. HLR Tool Use the HLR Tool to identify which network a mobile number belongs to. In the Test Number box, enter the GSM number you'd like to check and start test. The Information box displays if your request has been processed successfully. In case it s dismissed, check your account amount. Inbox This tool enables you to receive replies from your subscribers. Note that this is possible only if this function is part of your contracted service package. To view replies, select the time period in which the messages were received, and if you wish to see replies from a specific user, enter sender name in the appropriate box. Clicking Filter displays the replies with sender ID, message text, sender mobile number, recipient, date and time and message count. Sender mobile numbers are active; clicking them opens the SMS Manager for replying. To export your Inbox selection in.csv format, click Export current view. Report Center This section allows you to submit requests for traffic reports. All you need to do is enter the desired time frame for your reports in the required fields. Note that you cannot make requests for future time (i.e. for traffic occurring after the current date and time). If you wish to receive traffic reports of your clients, tick the appropriate box. For detailed network info, tick the Show networks box. If you are using an older version of MS Office, tick the Split report into 64k records files. This is due to the incapacity of processing larger chunks of data characteristic of older Excel versions. For more filtering options, enter sender and/or recipient GSM numbers or alphanumeric IDs in the appropriate fields. Note that you can enter only exact sender/recipient alphanumeric IDs, and that GSM numbers require the country prefix (233208124614 format). After the request has been submitted, allow for a maximum of 24 hrs for the reports to be generated. Once generated, the reports are available for download for 48 hours, after which they are discarded. Note that you need to log in to the Customer Web to download the reports. If you wish to be notified by email when your report is available, enter the desired address in the appropriate field. Help This section is here to help you learn more on how to use your account and all its features. If you have problems with your account, you can get help with this manual or you can always contact the Support team.
