The click that transitions from the first to the second slide is the click that begins the slide presentation. There are no animation clicks at the start of slide 2. All slide presentations begin with a single click. Effect 2: Motion Go to slide 4. Motion can enhance a presentation but only if the motion is appropriate. In this slide presentation the motion is used to move the decade marker from 1940 s to 1950 s. Remember, the marker for 1940 s was introduced on slide 3 and should not have entrance animation. Change the start to After Previous Drag these 4 animations to the top of the animation list.
Repeat the process on slide 5 to move the decade marker from 1950 s to 1960 s.. Effect 5: Multi-group animation (with stacking) Instead of bring all of the images into the slide at the start of the slide, bring one or two images in with each bullet point. In this example of multi-group animation, the images can be stacked. Return to slide 4, select the 5 images. Adjust the sequencing of the animation. Move the animations so that each image (or pair of images) enter with the appropriate text box. On the ribbon, change the width of all 5 images to 6.5. Reposition the images starting with the two images of the Babson Center. Stack the other images on top. Make sure that as you stack each picture, the covered images cannot be seen. You may need to slightly stretch an image. The images are already in the proper order from the bottom of the stack to the top of the stack. To create each animation group, the first object enters on a mouse click. All remaining objects enter with previous. After Previous cannot be used within group animation if you plan to dim text or hide objects on the next mouse click.
Effect 6: Multi-group animation (no stacking) Sometimes, the images are shaped so that stacking is not practical, or you wish to keep all images visible on the slide. Switch to slide 9. Just like the previous slide, the text phrases enter on the mouse click followed by the picture animated with previous. Effect 7: Multi-group animation (hide no stacking) Some times, the images are shaped so that stacking is not practical, but when scattered around the slide, are too small. In this situation you will need to hide the image(s) on the next mouse click. Switch to slide 6. The animation has been set to enter the images with the appropriate text phrase. The problem is the images are too small for the audience to see any detail. Select the image of Camilla Hall. Resize the image to a width of 6.5 (see previous instructions). Reposition the image as shown. This will allow the audience to see more detail in the image.

The bottom image overlaps the top image slightly. On the, click on the option arrow of the and select. In the effect option window, change After Animation to Hide on Next Mouse Click. Click on Run the slide by clicking on the button.. The problem with this layout is you can see parts of the first image when the second two images appear. You must hide the bottom image. Run the slide by clicking on the button. This option Hide on Next Mouse Click is not accurate it should read Hide on Next Animated Action. The only way this works is for the first object to appear on a mouse click and all remaining objects in the group are animated With Previous. Therefore, the next animated action will be the next mouse click. You cannot use After Previous in a group if you plan to dim or hide objects on the next mouse click.
