Carbohydrates Xenofit competition Xenofit's isotonic carbohydrate drink was especially developed for longer endurance events. For long endurance events over several hours the body's own carbohydrate reserves (glycogen stores) aren't sufficient to provide enough energy to the muscles being used. Xenofit competition delivers a balanced mix of glucosestabilising carbohydrates during sport to maintain the endurance performance. It also contains short-chain, readily-available sugar such as fructose, glucose and saccharine (mono and disaccharide) as well as the longer-chain maltodextrins (oligosaccharide), which makes up the main ingredient.
