Programme evaluation Students will be actively drawn into the evaluation of the training program. In most courses the student representatives are elected to be the link between the lecturer / administration and students throughout the semester. Assessment methods Home exam, paper / project assignments, case studies and other oral and written presentations are used in addition to written exams. General description and profile of the programme The study represents the first year of the Bachelor's program in economics and management which is arranged in accordance with the recommendation from NRØA (National Council for financial administrative education) where an economic-administrative education at least should include the four fields of business administration, economics, management and methodology. The first year will give students an understanding of markets and organizations as well as develop their capacity for critical reflection on basic issues and values. In addition, courses in mathematics, statistics, operational and financial accounting and jurisprudence. Minimum of 6 of the 8 subjects in the study must be passed in order to transfer to programs at HHB. It is also possible to combine one-year program with courses from other disciplines - this will then form the basis for a complex bachelor's degree. The main methods include: lectures, groups working with exercises / case led by the tutor, assignment with supervision and feedback. It is expected that students also work actively with curriculum / literature consecutively. By working with an assignment in groups of 3-5 students, students will receive training in teamwork and team development. The task will also provide training in information-gathering and processing, problem analysis and discussion. The thesis provides specialization in any of the course's theme. It represents an alternative learning method of the subject and is included in the evaluation of the subject. The task usually involves contact with a business so that students connect theory and practice.

The course has a twofold evaluation form: An assignment during the semester, counting 40%, these are made normally in groups of 3-5 students, you can get guidance during and after. Individual written examination, counts 60%. Both the assignment and examination must be passed for the course to be approved.
