system ConTRols This system uses these controls along with a variety of touch-screen controls to operate the audio, dvd and navigation systems. Consult the Table of Contents to find general tips for system operation. Consult your system owner s Manual for detailed instructions. using THe audio system fm/am using THe audio system Radio LiSTENiNg TO RAdiO STATiONS 1. Press the fm/am button to listen to broadcast radio 2. Press the fm/am button repeatedly to select the band as follows: fm1...fm2...am... six presets per band are available. Touch and hold one of the 6 preset buttons, until a beep sounds, to store your station selection. SELECTiNg RAdiO STATiONS auto search Touch the forward-skip or ReVeRse-sKiP buttons When a station is received, searching stops Manual search Touching the forward or ReVeRse buttons moves the channels up or down step by step Holding the forward or ReVeRse buttons down runs the channel selection up or down continuously SCAN FUNCTiON Touch the scan button to automatically search forward for receivable stations Touching scan again will stop on the current station Note: During SCAN mode, each station is tuned in for 10 seconds before moving to the next station 4 5 F LiSTENiNg TO SATELLiTE RAdiO ChANNELS 1. Press the button to select satellite Radio 2. Press the button repeatedly to select the band as follows: 1...2...3... six presets per band are available. Touch the Channel forward or ReVeRse button to select a channel after 2 seconds, the selected channel becomes audible Note: You must use the / button to get to channel 0 SELECTiNg RAdiO ChANNELS To preview and select channels from the Channel list: 1. Touch the CH list button which brings up the CHannel list on screen 2. Touch the left-hand up or down button to select the desired category 3. using THe navigation system VOLUME NAVigATiON SYSTEM CONTROLS To set the volume for narrated navigation guidance: When provided, touching the BACK button will return you to the previous screen Touch the Plus or Minus button Touch the MuTe button to mute the guidance volume MARKEd POiNT OPTiONS guidance alarm This allows warnings and alerts which, when selected on, will provide voice prompts When selected off, no voice prompts will be provided for the marked points show on MaP The Hide button prevents display of marked points The show button displays marked points MAP NAVigATiON SYSTEM To customize the system settings press the setup button to display the setup screen orientation The Heading up button orients the map so that your forward direction is always at the top The north up button orients the map so that north is always at the top (note: Cannot use in 3d view.) show Touch the 3d button to display a simplified three-dimensional view Touch the 2d button to display a straight-forward two-dimensional view (This is the default map view) 12 13
using THe navigation system SETTiNg destinations: USiNg A MARKEd POiNT a Marked Point is a previously stored map location Choose an address from your list of Marked Points When provided, touching the BACK button will return you to the previous screen USiNg ThE EMERgENCY CATEgORY This selection will offer a choice of: Hospitals Police stations Hyundai dealerships USiNg ThE AddRESS SEARCh input a destination address to search for addresses in the system database USiNg A POiNT OF interest SEARCh The system database offers a long list of stored addresses for landmarks and businesses input the name of a Point of interest, including the state, if needed from the Map, you can touch the on-screen Poi button for a list of local Points of interest by category USiNg A PHONE NUMBER input a business phone number to locate the business address CREATiNg A NAVigATiON ROUTE To create a navigation route you need to set the destination To display the Destination menu press the dest button SETTiNg YOUR home ANd FAVORiTE destinations you can assign up to five favorite destinations using the favorites buttons. see system owner s Manual for details. To set your Home as a destination it is recommended to only designate the nearest major intersection, for safety purposes, to not divulge your home street address USiNg AN intersection SEARCh input the two streets that correspond to your destination USiNg A PREViOUS destination up to 20 of your most recent Previous destinations are stored by the system select the name of the Previous destination 14 15
