Our Presenter: Victoria Powell Victoria Powell is a certified nurse life care planner who began her transition into life care planning as a worker s compensation case manager. She holds several certifications (CCM, LNCC, CNLCP, CLCP, CBIS, MSCC, CEAS) which have enhanced her abilities as a life care planner & legal nurse consultant. She has a special interest in amputation injury. She is the founder and current president of VP Medical Consulting located in Central Arkansas and currently serves on the AANLCP Executive Board as President Elect.

Our Presenter: Becky Czarnik Becky Czarnik received her BSN from St Olaf College and her Masters from Ohio State University. She has extensive experience in critical care, home care and administration. Becky is currently employed at a 200 bed hospital providing case management services by coordinating the discharge of patients into the Home Health Care Services. Becky founded her business, Sierra Nurse Consultants in 2008. She received her Legal Nurse Consultant certificate in 2008, Life Care Planning Certification in 2011 and became certified in Medicare Set Aside in 2013. Becky is an active member of AANLCP by serving on the Journal and Research Committees. Becky is working toward switching the ratio of her "day job" and her consulting business.

Our Presenter: Carrie Thomas Carrie has a BSN from Oregon Health Sciences University and a MSN from the University of Utah. She practiced as a nurse midwife in Kentucky, Alaska and Washington for 10 years prior to moving into case management, becoming board-certified in 2007. Since 2009, she has provided intensive outpatient case management services within a large primary care medical home in Portland, Oregon. Carrie has presented throughout the Pacific Northwest on such topics as patient-centered medical home, case management and care transitions. Most recently she presented at the CMSA Annual Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2012, Carrie earned her certification in Life Care Planning and in 2013 certified in Medicare Set Aside Consulting. She currently works toward building an independent business.

Our Presenter: Shelene Giles Shelene has extensive knowledge/experience within the medical and vocational case management fields. She has been employed in these areas for over twenty years. Shelene holds degrees in Nursing, Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, and Business Administration. She is a Registered Nurse and her certifications include Certified Nurse Life Care Planner, Certified Life Care Planner, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Medicare Set- Aside Consultant Certified, and Legal Nurse Consultant Certified. Shelene is the President of FIG Services, a nationally recognized educational provider in the fields of Nurse Life Care Planning and Medicare Set-Asides. She is a former AANLCP President.

CNLCP Certification Requirements Licensed as a RN (active w/o restriction) for at least the past 5 years. Minimum of 2 years of full time paid nurse life care planning and/or case management experience, personally coordinating client services along the continuum of care. PLUS one of the following: Route 1 Minimum of 120 continuing education units from a life care planning course within the past 5 years immediately preceding the application. Route 2 Proof of two years of life care planning experience within the past five years immediately preceding the application.
