15 MINUTE QUIK-FIX DECK REMOVER & WOOD RESURFACER No. 64 Exterior deteriorated latex or oil-based coatings on wood decks, siding, fences, shake and shingles. Ideal for removing loose wood fiber, unsightly stains caused by oil or rusty water on uncoated tile, concrete, masonry, stucco, stone and brick. For 100% Acrylic water-based products, use a conventional paint stripper. No. 64 Clear No. 64 128 oz. 100-150 sq. ft. per gallon Depending on porosity of the surface. Allow a minimum of 24 hours in warm, dry weather, longer in cooler temperatures of in higher humidity. Sodium Hydroxide 10% 13% Flush sprayer and all tools with fresh water. Natural bristle brushes or lambs wool applicators are not recommended. Wear appropriate respirator, eye and apparel protection when using a sprayer. Do not allow product to dry; keep surface wet for about 15 minutes while the old finish begins to lift from the surface. Reapply as needed to keep the surface wet during the removal period. Most deteriorated finishes will start to lift after about 15-30 minutes. When the finish starts to lift, lightly scrub the surface using a stiff bristle broom or brush. Rinse with water from garden hose using nozzle at maximum pressure. Pressure Washing should be left to the professional, as this may harm the wood. If some of the old finish remains on the surface, repeat application procedure. For mildew, use no. 62 Multi-Surface Cleaner & Mildew Stain Remover or bleach and water. See label for instructions. Use no. 63 Cleaner Brightener & Conditioner on all wood surfaces to rejuvenate natural wood color and neutralize the stripping action. This provides stability for reapplication of a new finish or sealer. Some woods may darken after stripping. Copyright 1999-2006 Behr Process Corporation Revised 9/06

Wear appropriate apparel, eye and skin protection when applying product. Wipe up all excess oil and grease spills. Scrape and sweep away dirt and loose contaminates on surface. Protect grass and any plant life by lightly dampening these areas with water; use plastic drop cloths to cover these and any other areas that might be accidentally splashed during the cleaning process. Failure to keep grass and plants dampened will result in damage to these areas. Use plastic drop cloths to cover and protect all areas not being cleaned. Wear protective clothing; eye goggles and chemical resistant rubber gloves. To ensure uniformity, lightly treat the entire area to be cleaned. Wet the surface first by spraying with a garden hose. Then apply the product (full strength for tough stains, diluted for general cleaning) and work into the surface with a plastic brush or broom. SURFACE PREPARATION Allow new concrete surfaces to cure approximately 30 days before etching. Use BEHR No. 990 Concrete Cleaner & Degreaser to remove dirt and grease. See product label for directions. Completely strip all coatings prior to use. On exterior surfaces use BEHR No. 64 15 Minute Quik-Fix. On interior surfaces or for 100% acrylic water-based products, use a conventional paint stripper. Be sure to rinse thoroughly before treating. Protect grass and any nearby plants by dampening these areas with water and covering with plastic drop cloths. Once the surface is ready for coating, use floor finishes such as BEHR Porch & Floor Enamel, BEHR 1- Part Epoxy Acrylic Concrete & Garage Floor Paint or BEHR Plus 10 Concrete Stain. Follow all label instructions. Use appropriate precautions (see warning). Avoid splashing. Spraying is not recommended. Keep area wet with water before and during the application of BEHR Concrete Etcher & Rust Remover. Work small areas at a time. On sloped surfaces, start at the lowest point working up to the highest point. Allow product to stand for 5-10 minutes then scrub with a stiff bristled, nonmetal brush or broom. Rinse surface thoroughly with fresh water while scrubbing. Do not let product dry on the surface. If product dries and a white powdery residue remains, it is critical to remove the residue by retreating with a diluted solution (1 part of product to 2 parts water) and scrubbing. Rinse thoroughly with water. Remove excess water with a non-metal squeegee or mop. Heavily stained areas or older stains may require additional applications. The surface is ready when it feels like fine to medium grit sandpaper and no residue or loose concrete remains on the surface. Copyright 1999-2007 Behr Process Corporation Revised 6/07

CONCRETE & MASONRY PAINT STRIPPER NO. 992 Use on painted or stained Interior/Exterior Concrete, Masonry, Stone, Brick and Metal Surfaces such as: Garage Floors, Driveways, Walkways, Patios, Pool/Cool Decks, Basement Floors and Concrete Walls. Removes coatings such as: stains, epoxies, urethanes, elastomeric, alkyds, sealants, latex and most industrial and architectural paints. Do Not Use On Marble, Granite, Terrazzo, Colored Concrete, Brass, Bronze or Copper. No. 992 Spread rate is approximately 60-75 sq. ft. per gallon. Penetration varies according to coating type, thickness and temperature. @77 F & 50% humidity Surface dry time will vary, depending on air & surface temperature. Make sure surface is visually and completely dry to touch prior to recoating. CAUTION: Surfaces may become slippery when wet. Use caution when walking on surface when moisture is present. Glycol/Alcohol/Acid 8.0% 9.4% 8.52 lbs 40.6% WT. If product comes in contact with painted or finished surfaces, rinse immediately with fresh water. Thoroughly rinse all surfaces, clothing and tools with fresh water after use. Collect lifted coating and dispose of it in accordance with local government regulations. Contact your household refuse collection service for disposal of empty containers or unused product.. Airless Spray: Tip:.019-.025 Conventional Spray: Brush: Stiff Bristle Brush or Broom Pump Sprayer: SURFACE PREPARATION Shake Well Prior To Use. Pour the N0. 992 Concrete & Masonry Paint Striper into a paint tray or bucket. If water seems to have separated out, stir product until uniform. For vertical and glossy or greasy surfaces, scuff sand the surface lightly with a medium grit sand paper prior to application to prevent sagging of paint stripper. Test Patch: A test area will indicate the time required to lift coating and the suitability of the product for the paint and substrate. Protect grass and any nearby plants by dampening these areas with water and covering with plastic drop cloths. Prevent all rinse solution from entering storm drains. Wear protective clothing, goggles, acid resistant gloves, and a NIOSH approved air purifying respirator with an organic vapor cartridge. Apply a thick, even layer of stripper onto the surface using a paintbrush or an airless sprayer. Stripper thickness should be such that the original coated surface is completely covered. Penetration varies according to coating type, thickness and temperature. Coating Will Wrinkle When The Job Is Done. Most coatings will take between 1 6 hours to lift. Check periodically during the waiting period, to ensure that the coating is completely covered with the stripper. If the coated surface becomes visible again, re-apply a light coating. The stripper should remain wet and active until the coating wrinkles. If hot or windy conditions cause drying, re-apply a light coating. Use a scraper, squeegee or pressure washer to remove all coating and residue. The stripper is formulated to remove several layers of coating in one application. Some areas however, may require an additional application to remove all layers. The stripped surface must be rinsed with water thoroughly to remove all chemical residues before recoating.
