Automatically identify your pallets and storage locations. Our Auto ID solutions will save you time and money. 1
Are you looking for efficient identification strategies for your warehouse? We can supply you value added solutions. Increase your efficiency If you operate a warehouse with high throughput rates, it is important that your processes are designed to be reliable and efficient. For example, with the identification and tracking of pallets as well as with the identification of storage locations. The conventional method where pallets and bays are scanned manually is very time-consuming. However, when you automatically identify pallets and their movements and track them in the warehouse management system, errors are significantly reduced and warehouse productivity is increased. Automatic identification technologies Radiofrequency identification (RFID) Automatic barcode scanner Camera-based code reader Identification technology Storage location identification Identification of goods or load carriers RFID Automatic barcode scanner Let technology do the work The different ID processes can be activated either by pressing a button on the truck controller (e.g, on the steering panel) or automatically by load sensing. Climbing off the truck and manually scanning can now be removed from your operation. Advantages Significant increase in efficiency. Truck productivity can be increased by up to 20 % simply by eliminating manual scanning. Very high process reliability with extremely low error rates. Avoiding incorrect movement of goods. Significantly less strain and increased safety on your operator who no longer has to climb off the truck to manually scan an item. Easy integration into various existing IT environments via the Jungheinrich Logistic Interface. Individual solutions thanks to the modular structure using standard components and adaptation to your individual warehousing strategies. Flexible design of the identification process and the hardware configuration. Camera-based code reader Our Auto ID solutions In addition to the conventional method of manual scanning, we offer automated solutions for identifying pallets and bays rapidly and efficiently. Whichever option you choose, it is optimally tailored to your processes. 2

What could your Auto ID solution look like? One example for improved efficiency. 1. Goods identification for retrieval An automatic barcode scanner on the fork carriage reads the barcode on the item. Advantage: The operator does not have to leave his truck to manually scan the code. Tests have shown that this reduces the duration of a work cycle by up to 20 %. 2. Bay identification for put-away An RFID reader on the truck s mast reads the signals from the RFID transponders on the first rack beam. In conjunction with the lift height information from the truck controller, this determines the location. 4 Process control Both identification processes are triggered by the operator. This is done via a pushbutton on the steering panel. 3. System integration The Jungheinrich Logistics Interface transmits the identification information in real time to the Warehouse Management System. This interface software is installed on the radio data terminal and serves as a communications hub.
3. Jungheinrich truck terminal with Logistics Interface. 1. Automatic barcode scanner for reading the pallet IDs. 2. RFID reader reads the transponder on rack beam.
6 Modular. Adjustable. Cost-effective. Benefit from greater integration.
Connectivity In principle, our Auto ID solutions are feasible for all fork lift truck types. Connection to the interfaces of our trucks offers greater potential. This applies in particular to reach trucks and narrow aisle trucks. Integration into existing systems The identification of goods and locations is part of the logistics process and is used by the Warehouse Management System to coordinate the flow of goods and information. In order to facilitate the exchange of data between the Warehouse Management System and the identification process, the Jungheinrich Logistics Interface serves as an interface and communications hub. This middleware is installed on the truck terminal and communicates with the warehouse management system on one side and the truck and auto ID sensors on the other. The Jungheinrich Logistics Interface is a well-proven piece of standard software with a modular structure. Numerous interfaces help to create a connection with your Warehouse Management System taking into account your individual storage strategies. Assistance system for warehouse control With our Series 2 and 3 ETM/ETV reach trucks, the optional Warehouse Control function facilitates automatic height pre-selection. Consequently, the target height for stacking/retrieval is transferred directly from the Warehouse Management System to the height pre-selection function. All the operator has to do is activate the lift function. When lifting, the forks stop automatically at the right height. Assistance system for Warehouse Navigation in narrow aisles The Warehouse Navigation for our narrow aisle trucks facilitates the semi-automatic approach of storage loca tions. When positioning in the narrow aisle, the truck identifies the respective locations and communicates with the Warehouse Management System via the Jungheinrich Logistics Interface. Here you can further increase the efficiency of your warehouse via connection with an automatic goods identification system.
