3 Transmitter Test Result 3.1 RF Output Power 3.1.1 RF Output Power Limit RF Output Power Limit Type of Equipment Using Wide Band Modulations Other than FHSS: mean equivalent isotropic radiated power (e.i.r.p.) 20 dbm 3.1.2 Measuring Instruments Refer a test equipment and calibration data table in this test report. 3.1.3 Test Procedures Test Method The measurements shall be performed at both normal environmental conditions and at the extremes of the operating temperature range. Refer as EN 300 328, clause 5.3.2.2.1 for conducted measurement. The EUT supports single transmit chain and measurements performed on this transmit chain. The EUT supports diversity transmitting and the results on transmit chain port 1 is the worst case. The EUT supports multiple transmit chains using options given below: Option 1: Sample all transmit ports simultaneously using a power sensor for each transmit port. Sum the power of all ports for each individual sample and save them. Option 2: In case of conducted measurements on smart antenna systems (devices with multiple transmit chains) a power splitter/combiner shall be used to combine all the transmit chains (antenna outputs) into a single test point. The insertion loss of the power splitter/combiner shall be taken into account. If multiple transmit chains, EIRP calculation could be following as methods: P total = P 1 + P 2 + + P n (calculated in linear unit [mw] and transfer to log unit [dbm]) EIRP total = P total + G If more than one antenna assembly is intended for this power setting, the maximum overall antenna gain (G or G + Y) shall be used for EIRP. 3.2 Power Density 3.2.1 Power Density Limit Power Density Limit Type of Equipment Using Wide Band Modulations Other than FHSS: mean equivalent isotropic radiated power (e.i.r.p.) density 10 dbm/mhz 3.2.2 Measuring Instruments Refer a test equipment and calibration data table in this test report. 3.2.3 Test Procedures Test Method Refer as EN 300 328, clause 5.3.3.2.1 for conducted measurement. The EUT supports single transmit chain and measurements performed on this transmit chain. The EUT supports diversity transmitting and the results on transmit chain port 1 is the worst case. The EUT supports multiple transmit chains using given below: For conducted measurements on devices with multiple transmit chains: Sample all transmit ports simultaneously using a spectrum analyzer for each transmit port. Where the trace bin-by-bin of each transmit port summing can be performed. (i.e., in the first spectral bin of output 1 is summed with that in the first spectral bin of output 2 and that from the first spectral bin of output 3, and so on up to the N TX output to obtain the value for the first frequency bin of the summed spectrum.). Add up the amplitude (power) values for the different transmit chains and use this as the new data trace. The new data trace samples added 1 MHz segment and found the highest value of each 1 MHz segments. If multiple transmit chains, EIRP calculation could be following as method: EIRP total = P total + DG Refer as EN 300 328, clause 5.3.3.2.2 for radiated measurement. Test Method for ACMA Power spectral density procedures that the same method as used to determine the conducted output power shall be used to determine the power spectral density. In addition, the use of a peak PSD procedure will always result in a worst-case measured level for comparison to the limit. Therefore, whenever the DTS bandwidth exceeds 500 khz, it is acceptable to utilize the peak PSD procedure to demonstrate compliance to the PSD limit, regardless of how the fundamental output power was measured. For the power spectral density shall be measured using below options: Refer as FCC KDB 558074, clause 9.1 Option 1 - (RBW 3kHz; sweep=auto, detector=peak). Refer as FCC KDB 558074, clause 9.2 Option 2 - (RBW 3kHz; sweep=auto, average=100). Refer as FCC KDB 558074, clause 9.3 Option 3 - (RBW 3kHz; slow sweep speed). Refer as FCC KDB 558074, clause 9.4 Alternative 1 (average PSD; Add 10log (1/duty cycle). RBW>3kHz, add the bandwidth correction factor (BWCF) adjusting in PSD per 3kHz. For conducted measurement. The EUT supports single transmit chain and measurements performed on this transmit chain. The EUT supports diversity transmitting and the results on transmit chain port 1 is the worst case. The EUT supports multiple transmit chains using options given below: Option 1: Measure and sum the spectra across the outputs. Refer as FCC KDB 662911, In-band power spectral density (PSD). Sample all transmit ports simultaneously using a spectrum analyzer for each transmit port. Option 2: Measure and add 10 log(n) db, where N is the number of transmit chains. Refer as FCC KDB 662911, In-band power spectral density (PSD). Performed at each transmit chains and each transmit chains shall be compared with the limit have been reduced with 10 log(n). Or each transmit chains shall be add 10 log(n) to compared with the limit. 3.2.4 Test Setup Power Density SPORTON INTERNATIONAL INC. Page No. : 25 of 108

3.5.3 Test Procedures Test Method Refer as EN 300 328, clause 5.3.10.2.1 for conducted measurement. Conducted spurious emissions and radiated by the cabinet with the antenna connector(s) terminated by a specified load (cabinet radiation). The EUT supports single transmit chain and measurements performed on this transmit chain. The EUT supports diversity transmitting and the results on transmit chain port 1 is the worst case. The EUT supports multiple transmit chains using options given below: Option 1: The trace data for each transmit chain has to be individually recorded and each transmit chain trace data shall be added and compared with the transmitter spurious emissions limit. Option 2: the results for each of the transmit chains shall be individually compared with the transmitter spurious emissions limit. After that these limits have been reduced with 10 x log 10 (A ch ). (Number of active transmit chains). Equipment with single transmit chain. All measurement had be performed on this transmit chain. Refer as EN 300 328, clause 5.3.10.2.2 for radiated measurement. 3.5.4 Test Setup Transmitter Unwanted Emissions in the Spurious Domain A measuring distance of at least 3 m shall be used for measurements at frequencies up to 1 GHz. For frequencies above 1 GHz, any suitable measuring far field distance may be used, depending on the test system noise floor for detecting spurious emission signals. The equipment size (excluding the antenna) shall be less than 20 % of the measuring distance. The height of the equipment or of the substitution antenna shall be 1.5 m. SPORTON INTERNATIONAL INC.
