About this Support Package / Patch About this Support Package / Patch This Support Package / Patch corrects problems detected in version 10.0 of SAP BusinessObjects EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office. This document contains technical details on installing the Support Package. Caution: The Support Package 15 / Patch XX is mandatory for the following applications: Planning and Consolidation for the Microsoft Platform Planning and Consolidation for SAP NetWeaver Note: The Support Package 15 / Patch XX is optional with the following applications: SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation SAP Profitability and Cost Management SAP Strategy Management Note: To consult all SAP BusinessObjects EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office product documentation, go to the SAP Help portal: "http://help.sap.com". 5

To install the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office Support Package 15 / Patch XX To install the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office Support Package 15 / Patch XX 1. To install the Support Package 15 / Patch XX and to keep the.net 3.5 version, do as follows: a. On SMP, open the SBOP EPM EXCEL CLIENT 10.0 component. b. Download and extract the contents of the.zip package for Support Package 15 / Patch XX and upload the Support Package EPM Addin Support Package XX.msp / EPM Addin Patch XX.msp file or the EPM add-in.exe file on the server. The auto-update feature will then enable users to install the Support Package / Patch on their client machine. c. You want to install a new patch or higher version: if the option "Notify me when updates are available" is selected in the User Options, you have two options: - Create a new connection to the same server. When you log in, a message pops up, asking if you want to install a new version of the EPM add-in. Click "Yes". The version is installed. - Connect to the server by using an already existing connection. When you log in, a message pops up, asking if you want to install a new version of the EPM add-in. Click "No". Select "About/Check for Updates". A message pops up, asking if you want to install a new version of the EPM add-in. Click "Yes". The new version is installed. Note: If you are performing an upgrade, you must execute the.msp file as indicated in the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office Upgrade Guide. If you are installing the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office for the first time, you must execute the full setup.exe file as indicated in the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office Installation Guide. If you want to install the EPM Add-in for big volumes or for Microsoft Office 64-bit edition, you must execute the EPM Add-in_NET40.exe file. for the BPC version for SAP NetWeaver, refer to the Prerequisites for Installing EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office from SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver chapter. for BPC version for the Microsoft platform, refer to the Installing Planning and Consolidation Administration Client and the SAP BusinessObjects EPM solutions, Add-in for Microsoft Office chapter. 2. To install the Support Package 15 / Patch XX and upgrade the.net version from version 3.5 to 4.0, do as follows: Pre-requisites: You must first install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 redistribuable or later. a. Uninstall the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office from the Windows control panel. b. On SMP, open the SBOP EPM ADD-IN BIG VOL 10.0 component. 7
To install the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office Support Package 15 / Patch XX c. Download and extract the contents of the.zip package for Support Package 15 / Patch XX. d. Execute the EPM add-in_net40.exe file and install it as indicated in the EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office Installation Guide. If you execute the EPM Add-in_NET40.exe file, a DOS prompt may open during the installation, containing error messages. However, this will not affect the installation process. 8
