Short description 1 Short description Fig. 1: EFA-SRT -L/S MS high-speed roll-up door The EFA-SRT -L/S MS high-speed roll-up door is a functionally reliable, space-saving and low-maintenance machine protection door which has been specially engineered for intensive industrial use. 4 High-speed roll-up door Machine protection

Short description The EFA-SRT -L/S MS high-speed roll-up door is a safety component with EC type examination certification as per Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and a certified performance Level "d" for safetyrelated functions as per DIN EN ISO 13849. It is a standalone powered segregating safety device with locking mechanism as per DIN EN 953 which, in conjunction with the control system of the machine, provides the highest level of safety for personnel and plants and machines in the industrial and commercial sector. The side frames have integrated floor supports and are thus selfsupporting. This means that the EFA-SRT -L/S MS high-speed roll-up door can be set up free-standing. The side frames and the casings for the winding shaft and the drive are made of galvanised sheet steel. The flexible door curtain on the EFA-SRT -L/S MS is available in the following different colours and designs to suit the application: Transparent soft PVC with warning stripes, highly tear-resistant and low-stretch woven fabric with double-sided PVC coating and soft PVC in welded design as per DIN EN 1598. All variants are free from substances which prevent paint adhesion. The high-performance frequency converter controller in conjunction with the functionally adapted drive makes for particularly dynamic door running. The locking mechanism for monitoring the secure closed position allows the machine to be integrated into cat. 4 / PL e as per DIN EN ISO 13849-1. The EFA-SRT -L/S MS thus meets all requirements fore a secure and modern "machine protection door" with a high cycle rate and can be used in almost all production processes. Manual emergency operation Fig. 8: Manual emergency operation In case of power failure the door can be opened or closed mechanically with the winch which is included in the scope of delivery. Construction of the high-speed roll-up door mach... Side frames with floor support Fig. 9: Side frame The side frames are made of bevelled, galvanised sheet steel profiles. The two-piece construction acts as the door leaf guide and makes for quick access for maintenance work. The optional floor supports mean the door can be set up freestanding. Unevenness in the floor can be offset with the levelling screws. Frame extension (optional) With an optional fame extension, both frame sides are extended but the door leaf maintains the same length. That means that the door leaf is not on the floor in the closed position but rather at the height of the original frame length. The locking mechanism is also at this height with extended frame sides. Construction of the high-speed roll-up door mach... Door leaf The upper edge of the door leaf is permanently connected to the winding shaft. The shaft is rotated by the drive and can wind the door leaf up and down problem-free at any time. The door leaf is guided at the sides by the side frames with securing studs on the outer edge of the door curtain holding it securely in the guide even in the event of draughts and drops in air pressure. An end shield with safety edge forms the end element of the door leaf. The sheet metal parts are made of double-shell, galvanised, sheet steel. Plastic sliding blocks are fitted on both sides of the end segment for axial guidance. The door leaf is tensioned by the weight of the end shield. Door safety 4 Door safety The main closing edge is secured by a combination of a safety edge and a light barrier (C device plus D device). This achieves the minimum protection level as per EN 12453. In addition the owner and the manufacturer have to consult with each other in order to provide a safeguard for the approach area. Door safety Locking mechanism for powered segregating safety equipment Fig. 15: Locking mechanism The locking mechanism for monitoring the secure closed position allows the machine to be integrated into the plant/machine control system and is a cat. 4 / PL as per DIN EN ISO 13849-1 design. A servicing cover makes for easy access. Head-Safe option The door can be equipped with an optional safety light grid on the operator side. The safety light grid prevents the door from closing when an obstruction is detected. The installed height can be configured in accordance with requirements. The transport units can also be delivered in a wooden crate. The number of wooden crates depend on the dimensions of the standard transport units. The wood for the wooden crates complies with the IPPC standard. The wooden crates are lined with film to protect them from moisture and are thus suitable for sea freight. Packages which are fastened to pallets can be transported by fork lift under the following conditions: The fork lift must have the appropriate capacity for the weight of the packages. The package must be securely fastened to the pallet. The fork lift driver must be authorised to drive industrial trucks with a driver's seat or driver's station in accordance with the local regulations. The transport units are not stackable.
