Roxar s Mission statement: Our mission is simply: TO ENABLE OUR CUSTOMERS TO MAXIMIZE RESERVOIR PERFORMANCE Roxar is the industrial inventor and pioneer of multiphase metering and sand monitoring, and a leading global supplier of real-time measurements solutions for production optimization, enhanced oil recovery and flow assurance. Roxar s instrument design philosophy is based upon the following principles: - Keep it simple - Build in redundancy - Maximize use of direct measurements
What is a multiphase meter - A non-intrusive multiphase flow measurements device that provides real-time and continuous three-phase measurements Measures fraction and velocity of oil fraction and velocity of water fraction and velocity of gas Outputs Oil rate Water rate Gas rate

Roxar The founder of multiphase metering
The industrial inventor of multiphase metering Roxar started the development of multiphase metering technology in 1984 and can celebrate 25 years of innovation!
History Technology development since 1984 Fluenta / MFI Roxar (2001) 1. Generation meters MFI topside (1994 2001) MFI subsea (1995 2001) 2. Generation meters MPFM 1900VI (1995 ) MPFM SRC subsea (2001 ) Roxar WGM (2002 ) MPFM 1900 Vi Non-Gamma (2003 ) 3. Generation meters MPFM 2600 based on Zector Technology (2009 )
History The first generation of multiphase meters: assumed homogenous flow conditions incorporated models based on a single flow velocity The second generation of multiphase meters: dual cross correlation (Liquid and Gas velocity meas.) sophisticated signal processing The dual velocity model is a well suited model, but still a simplification of the very complex flow patterns Industri standard: More than 1000 Roxar Meters delivered
Welcome to the new standard in multiphase metering technology
Welcome to the new standard in multiphase metering technology A new class of Multiphase meters - Improving measurement quality - Widening the operating envelope - Meeting environmental concerns
Innovative design for the future
Innovative design for the future With 25 years of innovation and as the founder of multiphase metering, Roxar is taking technology to a new level with the launch of its 3rd generation meter: MPFM 2600 based on Zector technology
Roxar 2600 class key elements
Roxar 2600 class key elements Simple, light-weight design, 80% weight reduction and half the length compared to the previous generation Field replaceable insert venturi Compact, integrated measurement solution for pressure, differential pressure and temperature Non-radioactive version covering most operating conditions - gamma version for special applications and high GVF Innovative Zector technology: Advanced signal processing, new field electronics and electrode geometry provides accurate characterization of flow
Roxar 2600 class key elements Simple, light-weight design, 80% weight reduction and half the length compared to the previous generation The image shows the relative difference in size for a typical 3 meter Weight: 550 vs.110 kg Length: 1300 vs. 650 mm
Roxar 2600 class key elements Field replaceable insert venturi Four pressure tapping s and ring chamber improves accuracy and stability (same design as for subsea meters) A field replaceable insert venturi allows for extended service life and operating range, and removes uncertainties when sizing meters based on predicted production forecasts
Roxar 2600 class key elements Compact, integrated measurement solution for pressure, differential pressure and temperature Multivariable transmitter Enables highly sensitive, accurate, DP, P and T measurements Combines the best features from remote seal solutions and open impulse tubing Limits the potential for clogging (no impulse lines)
Roxar 2600 class key elements Non-radioactive version covering most operating conditions - gamma version for special applications and high GVF Base version is non-gamma suited for installations < 95% GVF Benefit: applications where the use of nucleonic sources is unacceptable due to legislation or company policy For applications with very high GVF (>95%), the gamma version is recommended The gamma system can easily be retrofitted if and when flow conditions so dictate
Introducing Roxar Zector technology Key components of Roxar s Zector technology: -DP26 electrode geometry -New impedance electronics -Voxel based signal processing (4D pixels) Voxel based signal processing and DP26 electrode geometry provides: - multiple flow velocities - near wall measurements The new technology operates seamlessly in both oil- and watercontinuous flow which results in rapid detection of regime changes
Introducing Roxar Zector technology Electrode geometry Measures a large number of different combinations Enabling a much more detailed fraction measurement Close-to-wall electrodes gives improved measurement accuracy, extended operating range, multiple velocity measurements and scale/wax detection/correction
Introducing Roxar Zector technology Impedance electronics Replaces the capacitance and inductive electronics, and uses the same set of electrodes Measures both components simultaneously - operates seamlessly in both oil- and water-continuous flow Analog Devices Blackfin Processor - specially developed for real time image processing and streaming media application Front end: 1.000.000 samples / second Flow computer: computes 12.000 verified data points / second Modbus registry: updated 50 times / second
Introducing Roxar Zector technology Voxel based signal processing A voxel is a volume element, representing a value in a three dimensional space This is analogous to a pixel, which represents 2D image data Voxels are frequently used in the visualization and analysis of medical and scientific data Voxel based signal processing allows for measurements in individual sectors in addition to the traditional full cross-sectional area measurement
2nd generation Real system Dual velocity system Dp22 electrode system Multiphase / multi-velocity 2 volumes - Large bubble volume (r, l) - Dispersed phase 2 velocities - Large bubble velocity - Dispersed phase velocity
Roxar MPFM 2600: 3rd generation Real system 4D voxel system Dp26 electrode system Multiphase / multi-velocity Multiple time dependent voxels; -Asymmetric Large bubble volume, -Variable dispersed phase volumes -Near wall measurement volumes Multi velocities -Large bubble velocity -Dispersed phase velocity - Velocity per sector
Roxar 2600 class Test results
Specifications Qualification testing The Roxar Multiphase meter 2600 has been extensively tested, both statically and dynamically, including: - Pressure and temperature cycling - Calibration and sensitivity testing - Flow testing The loop testing has demonstrated superior performance for measurement of all three phases As a result, the operating envelope has been widened, and uncertainty is reduced
