Business innovation

StartUp RO BG objective StartUp RO BG will promote the sustainable cross border economical cooperation by creating the first network of innovative business incubators dedicated to young entrepreneurs, in all the 16 counties located at the common border between Romania and Bulgaria; The activities which will be developed will contribute to business internationalization in the region.

StartUp RO BG activities StartUp RO BG network: identifying and setting up 16 business incubators in Romania and Bulgaria; developing the same work space model, entrepreneurial education and event concept in all the incubators; Members of StartUp RO BG: identifying and selecting at least 30 young people for who will be part of one of the 16 incubators;

Services and activities provided by StartUp RO BG: financial support for all the members of the incubator who decide to start a business after the 6 months of preincubation stage of 10.000 euro as a micro grant; assistance and consultancy on business plan development; counseling on financial, legal, administrative, strategic and PR subject for all the members of the incubator; common networking meetings organized in order to identify potential mentors or investors for the incubator s members; common business internationalization model and partnerships between the two countries development; information about the business environment in the neighboring country; organizing monthly internationalization support events; annual common fairs organized with the products/ services offered by the incubator s members.

Information and promo campaign: promoting the StartUp RO BG network; coverage of businesses developed by the young members of StartUp RO BG; promoting the international partnerships created between the members of StartUp RO BG.

StartUp RO BG results A network of 16 business incubators working spaces developed in Romania and Bulgaria based on the same concept; 30 young people selected to be part of every business incubator; At least 960 startup businesses will be launched for every StartUp RO BG generation; 2 calls for business ideas launched every year in order to develop a new StartUp RO BG generation; A minimum of 600 Romania Bulgaria business partnerships will be established between the startups developed in the incubators; One common entrepreneurial education will be established for the both countries; 12 common annual events organized in order to contribute to the development of business internationalization; Weekly events and trainings organized in every StartUp RO BG incubator on subjects as: business plan development, mentoring, investments, business management, best practice examples, personal and professional development; 1 yearly event organized as a fair in order to promote the products/ services developed by the young members of the incubator;

StartUp RO BG and cross border region The activities established to be developed in all the incubators will contribute: To the overall cohesion objective regarding the common policies developed both by Romania and Bulgaria; To the national, regional and European strategies concerning the economicdevelopmentand cross border initiatives; To enhance the employment and entrepreneurial initiatives between young people, the most important European resource which is seriously affected by the unemployment; To business internationalization; To establish a common entrepreneurial education framework.

StartUp RO BG impact Developing new partnerships, programs, products at cross border level; Promoting the opportunities offered by the crossborder cooperation for business development; Offering a new vision for all the young entrepreneurs, favorable to a sustainable economic development and business internationalization; Creating generations of young entrepreneurs trained on management, business development, national and European policies, marketing strategy, and financial, legal and administrative subject.

StartUp RO BG innovation The innovative nature of StartUp RO BG incubators is given by: The added value of the first network of business incubatorscreatedineverycountyfromromaniaand Bulgaria; The first common sustainable methodology in businesses development will be created; All the activities developed at StartUp RO BG network level will be closely linked; Activities of technology transfers through the partnerships established between the members of the incubator.

StartUp RO BG model StartUp RO BG is an innovative business incubator dedicated to young people, made after thebestpracticeexamplesidentifiedinpoland, with special emphasis on business internationalization; The innovative elements are made by its structure which includes: a preincubation system specific to business accelerators (6 moths with no costs for all the young people accepted in the incubator); a classical system of business incubators.
