Fixed ladders Fixed ladders Fixed ladders are perfect to provide safe and permanent access to buildings, equipment or machines also at great heights, e.g.: + + Ascent for inspection and maintenance work on buildings, machines and shelf systems + + Emergency exits on buildings A modular construction system has been developed to set up customised vertical ladders quickly and easily. Even intricated multisection ladders can be assembled with a time saving up to 30%. The extensive range of accessories offers solutions for a wide range of different requirements given by on-site circumstances. i Please be advised to involve the responsible administration office in your area at the earliest point in time while you are planning the fixed ladder. Fixed ladders with back protection bracket Top exit for fixed ladders including a self-closing safety gate Shaft ladders Our shaft ladders are available in two different widths and are made of various materials depending on intended use, e.g.: + + Providing safe access to sewage treatment plants, drinking water supply plants, waste disposal sites, retention basins and other kind of pits for inspection and maintenance purposes. Our fixed ladder system includes a number of different access aids for safely step-onto and step-off the ladders. Shaft ladders have to be equipped with a holding device at its exists, e.g. holding bars or handles, to ensure a safe step-onto and step-off of the ladder. Our access aids comply with: DIN 19572 (Regarding holding devices for entering shafts) Our shaft ladders comply with: DIN EN 14396 (Regarding fixed ladders for shafts) Shaft ladder, 1.96 m long Holding bar with double handle

Standards/regulations for fixed ladders + DIN 18 799-1 Fixed ladders for construction works (Part 1: Ladders with two vertical side rails, safety-related requirements and inspections) Area of application: On buildings, for maintenance and cleaning work + DIN 14 094-1 Firefighting purposes Escape ladder installations (Part 1: Escape ladders with and without back protection brackets, holding devices, platforms) Area of application: Escape ladders are structural installation on buildings that can be used to rescue people in the event of danger and should always offer people a means to escape from danger by themselves. + EN ISO 14122-4 Safety of machinery - Permanent means of access to machinery (Part 4: Fixed ladders) Area of application: Access to stationary and mobile facilities and machineries. These ladders are also suitable to be used on buildings which are a part of the machinery. Single-section fixed ladder Multi-section fixed ladder

Fixed ladders in accordance with DIN EN ISO 18799-1 Fixed ladders for construction works Areas of application + + For maintenance and cleaning work on buildings + + For chimney sweepers special regulations regarding fixation and back protection are effective. For more information please send us your inquiry. Planning and use + + GP1 = Group of people 1: People with experience in the use of fixed ladders (e.g. technicians) + + GP2 = Group of people 2: People with no experience in the use of fixed ladders (e.g. private individuals) The decision about the height of the single ladder sections and spacings between the rest platforms has to be made under the consideration of the group of people. Climbing height from 5 to 10 m 1.500 mm 10 m for GP 1 10 m for GP 1 6 m for GP 2 6 m for GP 2 1.680 mm to upper edge of rung 1.500 mm 1.600 mm 2.300 mm To bottom edge of back protection bracket 140-380 mm (1. rung) 140-380 mm Important - the following requirements apply for: + + Ladders with a climbing height of more than 5 m have to be fitted with back protection brackets if it is structurally possible + + If the climbing height exceeds 10 m, the ladder sections have to be horizontally offset from adjacent sections. Single ladder sections should not be longer than 10 m. + + If it is not possible to offset the ladder sections because of constructural reasons, the ladder can be assembled as a single section exceeding 10 m. In this case, the rest platform has to be replaced with the hinged platform article no. 814173 for lateral crossovers. + + For sidewise crossovers lower ladder section can be assembled parallel to the upper one in parts + + If the gap dimension at the top exit is more than 75 mm, the ladder has to be fitted with an exit step which has to be ordered separately + + If the ladder s upper exit area does not have any guardrails, the ladder has to be fitted with rails on both sides (see DIN EN ISO 14122-4)
