Article I General Provisions 1 Area of application (1) These statutes define examinations of the Master s programme, International Strategic Management Project Development, Risk and Contract Management at the SRH University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. They supplement the General Examination Regulations of the SRH University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. (2) Where these regulations name persons or groups of persons, male as well as female persons are meant. 2 Examination subjects Modules 1 to 22 each finish with a graded exam. The Master s thesis (module 22) marks the end of the programme. Credits are assigned to each module and awarded if exams are passed. 3 Examinations The framework provisions pursuant to Article II of these examination regulations apply to module examinations. If necessary and in individual cases the examiner may further define the framework provisions in terms of formalities and weighting and present these to the examination board for approval. The examination board will then reach a decision, taking into consideration that written exams may not be replaced with oral exams and that they must ensure an adequate variety of examination formats. Students continuing their studies at a (foreign) partner university may sit exams at said university for a Master s module offered by the SRH University of Applied Sciences, Berlin, upon completion of all the module requirements. Appendix 1c International Strategic Management Project Development, Risk and Contract Management Credits and Examination is part of these examination regulations. Article II Module Examinations 4 Knowledge: Core Modules 1 (Global Strategic Management), 4 (Risk Management in Value Creation) and 6 (International Contract and Company Law) each finish with a written exam. Module 7 (Contract Knowledge Management) finishes with an open exam. 5 Knowledge: Extension Module 10 (Technological Foresight and Commercialization Strategies) finishes with a term paper/report. Module 11 (Strategic Network Management) finishes with a written exam, and Module 12 (International Protection of Intellectual Property) finishes with an open exam. 6 Knowledge: Deepening Module 3 (International Legal Framework for Foreign Trade) finishes with an open exam and Module 5 (Risk Management in Financing) finishes with a written exam. Module 9 (International Private Law and Comparison of Legal Systems) finishes with a term paper/report. 7 Methodology Modules 2 (Intercultural Management), 8 (Negotiation and Conflict Management), 13 (Project Development I) and 14 (Project Development II) each finish with an open exam. Modules 18 and 19 (Foreign Language I and II) and Module 20 (Master s Seminar) finish with a written exam. SRH University of Applied Sciences, Berlin Page 4 of 11
8 Profile and Practice Modules 15 (Company Project I), 16 (Company Project II), 17 (Company Project III) and 21 (Master s Internship) each finish with a term paper/ report. 9 Master s Thesis Module 22 (Master s Thesis) consists of the Master s thesis and an oral exam. The Master s thesis should demonstrate the student s ability to conduct independent academic work in complex contexts and to solve practice-related problems in a multidisciplinary context, taking into consideration the current state of knowledge in one or several specialist areas. The examination procedure is regulated by the provisions of the General Examination Regulations for Bachelor s and Master s programmes at the SRH University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. 10 Certificate of Completion, Academic Degree and Programme Format (1) The degree of Master of Arts is awarded on the basis of a certificate of degree completion. (2) In terms of format, the Master s programme is predominantly application-oriented and is non-consecutive. Section III Final Clauses 11 Validity These regulations take effect once published in the newsletter of the SRH University of Applied Science, Berlin.
