SPECIAL COURSES FOR PROFESSIONALS GERMAN COMMUNICATION TRAINING FOR DOCTORS Please enquire This communication training course is intended for doctors. This is the course for you if you have been working for some time in Germany or are about to begin a residency to train as a specialist at a German hospital. The focus is on communication skills and intercultural competency as key requirements for working effectively in the field of medicine. Doctor-patient communication as well as interactions between medical colleagues are explored and practised in various scenarios. You will learn medical and pharmaceutical terminology, the everyday German terms for symptoms and anatomy, various forms of clinical documentation and the correct way to write a doctor s letter. We will practice patient interviews with you, for example for case histories and examinations. Other topics include the German health care system, clinical structures, patient and case presentations and equipment diagnostics.
