The original WALTHER factory was destroyed during World War II. The only items Fritz managed to save after the conflict were a small number of the original drawings and the rights to approximately 80 patents. The elder WALTHER continued the tradition by constructing a new modern factory in Ulm, a location where centerfire production is done today.
