Implant Package Implants S Implants implants are supplied in a double-sterile blister package with an outer carton. The type of package offers the maximum product safety in conformance with the increasingly rigid requirements for medical devices. The packaging also makes it easy to store all products for quick retrieval and they are easy to handle during the surgical procedure. Surgical Instruments The drill sequence A successful implant placement requires precise and careful implant site preparation. Therefore, please follow our recommendations for drilling exactly. Pilot hole: D 2.0 Twist Drill Twist Drills and Twist Drills crestal are used at 800 rpm. During the preparation make sure drills are adequately internally and externally irrigated. Optimum flow volume is guaranteed if separate sources are used for internal and external irrigation. Marking: Round Drill Preparation of the implant site: Twist Drill Starting with D 3.0 and increasing in diameter until the final implant diameter is reached. 1 2 Crestal preparation to achieve the internal condensation effect: Twist Drill crestal The crestal drilling varies between 2 and 6 mm based on the bone quality. Thus, an optimal primary stability of the implant in all types of bone is achieved. 3 4 If required, pre-tapping the implant thread: In very cortical bone, pre-tapping of the implant site at 15 rpm is required in the crestal area after the initial 6 mm deep preparation. Prosthetic Components The type of prosthetic restoration is selected according to the indication after the implants have healed or when they are uncovered. A wide range of prefabricated components is available in the FRIADENT prosthetics range in implant diameters, various gingival heights, straight and angled. There are two basic procedures: The Esthetic procedure with fabrication of the superstructure at implant level The Multi-Purpose procedure with fabrication of the superstructure using the MP Abutment at gingiva level Esthetic procedure For reconstructions in which the esthetic aspect is in the foreground For cemented-in and screw-retained single-tooth restorations and bridges and overdentures fixed to attachments For prosthetic restoration of D 3.0 implants (single-tooth crowns only) For fabrication of porcelain restorations (not available for all implant diameters) For difficult initial prosthetic situations that require customized solutions Multi-Purpose (MP) procedure For cases in which a simple and standardized procedure has priority and the function of the restoration is the primary concern For screw-retained bridge constructions and removable implantborne prostheses The dentist selects and positions the prosthetic abutment at chairside before taking the impression. The impression is made at gingiva level above the prosthetic abutment. The abutment then remains in the patient's mouth.
