MEDC was founded by the late Prof. Yehia El Batawi in 1985. MEDC Director Prof. Salma Fouad Dowara Professor of General Surgery Vice Director Prof. Hala Salah Professor of Pediatrics Mission To contribute to the medical education process in Cairo University and cooperate with other health institutions in the context of creating a scientific environment tooled with the up to date technologies and to provide technical assistance to plan, implement and evaluate medical education and health related activities Objectives Encourage faculty members and students to use available resources for learning and self education. Establishing a principal center for medical training, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population and enhancing the standard of medical graduates. Providing facilities to produce electronic, printed, audio and video materials (media) for medical education and health sciences. Performing research in the field of medical education and health sciences. Organizing conferences, seminars and workshops in the fields of medical training for different specialties. Development of teaching skills and curriculum development skills for faculty members. Provide syllabus and internet access to all students and faculty members. Construction of a comprehensive electronic medical library.
