The proposed hotel will occupy the site of the former Winder s abattoir on North Lonsdale Terrace. The site has been derelict for a number of years. Ideally placed for a Premier Inn NORTH LONSDALE TERRACE Site location plan The site is within walking distance of Ulverston town centre and mainline rail station. We are proposing to close the existing access into the site from North Lonsdale Terrace. The new entrance will be relocated to the east of the site in order to improve visibility when emerging from the site. Our vision During the design stages of the project, the team has liaised with planning officers at South Lakeland District Council. CGI image showing how the completed building may look Delivering high-quality design We have liaised closely with planning officers at South Lakeland District Council during the design process, and all of the proposed buildings materials have been carefully chosen to complement the surrounding area. In summary, the proposals include: An L-shaped hotel and restaurant building The part of the building that faces the canal will be three storeys in height, with undercroft car parking The elevation that faces North Lonsdale Terrace will be two storeys in height 68 car parking spaces in total. 32 spaces will be positioned below the hotel building and we are proposing to provide four disabled spaces on the site. The building materials will include dark red Lancashire facing brick work, marley eternit thrutone and triple glazed windows. We are showing our latest drafts here today.
