Information about the device Description of the device The device operates on the adsorption principle and comes equipped with an ioniser, a fan low in noise and maintenance, and a power cable with plug. The fully automatic control and the condensation tank (2) with integrated overflow protection ensure fault-free operation. The fan sucks in damp room air via the air inlet (3) with air filter (1), the condenser and the adsorption rotor located behind it. Within the internal regeneration circuit the air is led via a heating element, it dries the adsorption rotor and leads the moist, warm air through the condenser. At the cooler condenser, heat is withdrawn from the room air and cooled below dew point. The water vapour contained in the room air precipitates in form of condensate. Depending on the room air temperature and the relative humidity, the condensed water either drops continuously through the integrated drain nozzle into the condensation tank (2) below. The drier air which is prepared in this way mixes with the air in the room. Due to the continuous circulation of the room air through the device, the relative humidity inside the installation space is gradually reduced to the fixed humidity value (45 % RH). A float is attached inside the condensation tank (2), which in case of a filled condensation tank interrupts the dehumidification via a microswitch. When switching off, the device emits an acoustic signal (3x) and the condensation tank indicator light on the control panel (6) is illuminated (see chapter Operating elements). The indicator light only goes out again once the emptied condensation tank (2) is reinserted. The device returns to the previously selected operation mode. Negatively charged ions, which charge the oxygen molecules of the ambient air and bind suspended matter and dust particles in the air, are produced by means of the ionisation function.
