A bit about the area There is a diverse mixed housing stock within the Bridgeton & Dalmarnock area. These include 1, 2 and 3 apartment tenements flats, 3, 4 & 5 apartment main door flats and houses, including several sheltered and supported housing flats. The Association is in the process of installing gas central heating, double glazing, new kitchens, bathrooms, rewiring, external flat doors and close door entry systems over the next couple of years with all work scheduled to be completed by 2015. We are also currently looking at ways to finance a programme of backcourt and refuse containment improvements. Bridgeton s first new build programme came off site in December 2009 and provided a mixture of 24 flats and family homes.
