Page 2 DEALER LIMITED WARRANTY FOR KYOCERA BRAND MULTIFUNCTIONAL PRODUCTS AND PRINTERS Kyocera Mita America, Inc. ( Kyocera ) warrants to its Authorized Dealers that its new Multifunctional Products/Printers (both referred to herein as MFP/Printers ) will be free from defects in workmanship and material under normal use and service for a period of 12 months from installation with first end-user, or 15 months from Kyocera s invoice date to Dealer, or the specified number of copies/prints as outlined in the Policy and Procedures Manual on KMAconnect, whichever is earlier. Kyocera obligation hereunder is expressly limited to providing Dealer with the parts required to repair the MFP/Printer or crediting Dealer's account for the cost of said parts, at Kyocera's election. Maintenance Kits, lamps, exterior covers, consumable parts, and all labor costs, are specifically excluded from this warranty. This warranty does not cover MFP/Printer which: (a) have become damaged due to operator negligence, misuse, accidents, improper storage or unusual physical or electrical stress, (b) have used parts or supplies which are not genuine Kyocera brand parts or supplies, (c) have been serviced by a technician not employed by Kyocera or an Authorized Kyocera Dealer, (d) have had the serial number modified, altered, or removed, or (e) Dealer fails to register the installation information for the MFP/Printer with Kyocera utilizing KMAconnect. THIS WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND KYOCERA SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Page 3 MAINTENANCE KIT LIMITED WARRANTY Kyocera Mita America, Inc. and Kyocera Mita Canada Ltd. (both referred to as Kyocera ) warrant your new maintenance kit against any defects in material and workmanship for a period of three (3) years or the defined number of prints as listed below, whichever occurs first, from the date of customer installation. In the event any unit of your maintenance kit is found to be defective within the warranty period, Kyocera s only obligation and your exclusive remedy shall be the exchange or repair, at Kyocera s option, of the unit. The warranty period for any replaced maintenance kit unit will expire at the end of the original warranty. It is understood that Kyocera shall have no obligation to furnish labor. This warranty is valid only for original retail purchaser (the Purchaser ) of a new maintenance kit in the United States of America or Canada, based upon the country of purchase. * Please refer to the Policy and Procedures Manual on KMAconnect for more details on Maintenance Kit Warranty information. Printer Model Maintenance Kit Life FS-2020D/3920DN/4020DN 300,000 WARRANTY RETURNS Technical Services would like to make the Warranty Return Process more efficient so your Warranty Claim can be verified and processed in the least amount of time possible. To process your Warranty Claim and verify other key information, the Status Page (one page) and Service Status Page (two pages) must be included with the returned item. If all three pages are not included with a Warranty Claim, the process will be delayed. LABOR REIMBURSEMENT An Authorized Kyocera Dealer will receive labor reimbursement and parts replacement for warranty repairs performed by its Kyocera Certified Technician. Labor reimbursement is available for all FS Series Printer Models for a period of 12 months from installation with first end-user, or 15 months from Kyocera Mita America s invoice date to the dealer, or the specific number of copies/prints, whichever first occurs. Labor reimbursement is made in the form of a credit to the Dealer's Kyocera Account Number. Page 4 PRODUCT TRAINING *Product Training Prerequisites Technical Learning Center on KMAconnect None Technicians who have prior certification on the FS-2000D/3900DN/4000DN are considered certified on the FS-2020D/3920DN/4020DN. Product Training for New Dealer s on the FS-2020D/3920DN/4020DN is offered as a full On-Line Training Course, available at the Learning Center on KMAconnect. A new Dealership can place their first order but will not be authorized to purchase additional Printers until at least one Technician has completed the FS-2020D/3920DN/4020DN On-Line Training Course with an overall score of 80 or higher. Each Technician that will be taking an on-line course must have their own Log-in Name and Password so that the Certificates and the Dealer training records are processed correctly.
