Machining high speed machining During high speed machining operaions, he 8055 CNC is in conrol of assuring smooh & accurae ool pah wihou sudden acceleraions or deceleraions in order o obain he mos sable machining speed possible, hus avoiding par surface irregulariies. High speed The 8055 CNC uilizes advanced algorihms ha are required in high speed machining operaions o obain a ool pah ha is idenical o he par programmed from a blueprin. Combined wih is advanced calculaing power, a large lookahead buffer (200 blocks) and a high speed block processing ime (capable of up o 1 millisecond), i can produce very accurae pars. For non-rigid machine plaforms ha end o vibrae under demanding condiions (high speed & frequen direcion changes), he 8055 CNC offers jerk conrol, which creaes a smooh gradual acceleraion versus sudden speed changes ha can cause mechanical vibraions. Fagor Auomaion s conversaional language has been designed o make he operaor s job as inuiive as possible, because of his; operaors unfamiliar wih Fagor CNC are capable of uilizing he 8055 CNC o is full poenial in jus a few hours. I offers quick and efficien access, hrough ICON ho keys o he various operaions and canned cycles. Each operaion or cycle has a specific graphic ICON hokey. You may simply press he key of he operaion ha you wish o perform, wihou having o browse hrough complex sub-menus, hus giving access o he relevan funcion immediaely and wihou compromise. Using Fagor Auomaion s ICON conversaional mode, he machine can be used in manual mode wihou having o creae a program. Jus fill in he blank on he graphic Graphic help screen based upon he blueprin daa in hand and by capuring he ool posiion afer moving i o he desired poin( Teach-in). Before he execuion of he operaion, i is easily possible o run a graphic simulaion of he ool pah by simply pressing he graphic hokey. This may be used o check he end resul and correc possible misakes made when defining he operaion cycle. The single cycles ha have been execued earlier may be saved in a program so as o execue hem in your chosen sequence a a laer ime. This allows checking a program in sages or layers before execuing i as a whole program. The user can ouch-up he programmed cycle when working wih single cycles. Calibraions For proper machining, he CNC has o know he dimensions of he ools. Fagor Auomaion offers several opions for seing hem: Afer pre-seing of he machine, you may auomaically ener ha daa ino he CNC offse posiions. Using a maser par wih a known dimension or posiion. Simply ouch off he ool on he par and he CNC will auomaically calculae and load he offse hus he CNC now assumes he real par posiion of he ool. Auomaically using a ouch probe. Manual calibraion Correcive acions While using he ools, he user can ake differen correcive acions: Compensae for ool wear. Fagor Auomaion offers he possibiliy o make his correcion eiher manually or auomaically using he cycles developed specifically for his purpose. Verify ool saus. The operaor can inerrup he execuion of he machining operaion when deecing ool problems o replace i wih anoher one or he same or a differen ool from he previously acive ool. Define ool life. Fagor Auomaion s measuring cycles may be used as he following: Manually guided by he CNC. When no using a par measuring probe on he machine, he user only has o approach he ool o he par manually and validae he conac poins Auomaically. If he machine uses a ouch probe, all of he operaions are hen run auomaically and managed by he Fagor cycles. Zero offses Wih he 8055 CNC, i is possible o define several reference poins on he machine and save hem in memory o be used laer on. In laer machining operaions, he user can recover hese reference poins wihou having o calculae hem again, herefore avoiding possible errors. Par damage prevenion The canned cycles offer addiional safey while machining. If he in-correc ool has been seleced for a paricular machining operaion, he CNC will inerrup he execuion o preven any damage o he par or machine. However if he correc ool has been seleced, bu he posiions are no correc for he machining operaion being execued, he CNC will run all he possible passes wihou jeopardizing he final shape of he par and will warn he operaor ha he operaion was in-complee because he wrong ool was uilized. 9
