Design Your Own Inhouse Options Standard Fixed-Content s BarDyne has a set of three standard fixed content seminars that we provide for our customers. These seminars have been presented as public and in house seminars in all corners of the world. Each 2 day seminar has a specific book selected as the seminar text. Computerized Hydraulic Component Analysis for System Design By far our most popular seminar, this seminar is designed for experienced engineers who desire to expand their knowledgebase with computerized design skills. In addition, those who are experienced with computer design techniques needing to expand your understanding of the basic concepts of design engineering will benefit from this seminar. Specifically, this seminar is for those who want to Learn the futuristic approach to component modeling necessary for computerized system design. Explore performance characteristics for the selection of practically all hydraulic components. Investigate with realistic examples of model applications that have been solved and are graphically presented. Experience a 21st century approach to learning through vivid graphics and the virtual design laboratory. The seminar text for this seminar is a special seminar text entitled Hydraulic Component Design and Selection which was written by E.C. Fitch and I.T. Hong. Hydraulic System Design for Service Assurance Hydraulic power and motion control technology will never become complete or mature until methods are available that will assure a satisfactory service life and reliability. Computerized techniques for achieving a desired system performance have been introduced; however, methods for assuring component and system reliability are fragmented, and many times primitive. Therefore, it is the purpose of this course to teach practical methods that will enable the attendees to avoid common errors and assure a long and useful service life for hydraulic systems. The textbook is entitled Hydraulic System Design for Service Assurance written by E.C. Fitch and I.T. Hong. Hydraulic System Modeling and Simulation This course is designed to provide the basic understanding of the computerized methods that are used in the virtual laboratory concept. Beginning with the fundamentals of fluid dynamics and the fluid and mechanical element models, this course goes on to cover solution methods and the effective use of digital computation and simulation. The extremely important model verification and test procedures are discussed as well as other valuable concepts. The seminar text for this seminar is a special seminar text entitled Hydraulic System Modeling and Simulation which was written by E.C. Fitch and I.T. Hong. The Pick-and-Choose Concept Many times it is desirable to design a seminar to fit a particular group or audience, or to educate attendees in only certain areas of a technology. For example, instead of providing general information dealing with all hydraulic components, a seminar could be designed to focus on only the material directed toward pump design, performance, and reliability. In order to address the need for the customization of seminars, BarDyne has created the Pick and Choose concept. The Pick and Choose concept is totally new in the world of seminar development. After talking to a great many sponsors we have found that each group of attendees requires different material. Since BarDyne has a large library of technology material already prepared in a format that would fit a seminar presentation and has given a great number of seminars where the content was fixed, they are in a perfect position to address the Pick and Choose concept.

How to Choose Currently, BarDyne has three texts from which a specialized seminar can be designed. Hydraulic Component Design and Selection Hydraulic System Design for Service Assurance Hydraulic System Modeling and Simulation Experience has shown that a total of 14 hours in a 2 day period is about the optimum for a given seminar. To the right, a seminar time table has been formulated for each book which shows the chapters by title, the number of pages in each chapter, and the lecture time needed to cover the material in each chapter. To develop a customized seminar the customer need only to go through the tables and pick the chapters that reflect the material content that he wants included in the seminar. The total lecture time for the seminar can be calculated by adding up the lecture times for each chapter chosen to be a part of the seminar. Example Worksheets are available that give simple examples of how a seminar could be designed. The Standard Fees Standard Fixed Content 2 day $6,000 for up to 10 people $250 per each additional attendee Pick and Choose 2 day seminar $9,500 for up to 10 people $350 per each additional attendee Travel costs for lecturers $1,500 in the Continental USA (request a quote for international travel) Additional day for lecture or workshop $2,000 per day BarDyne would be happy to prepare a quotation for any in house seminar scenario. Design Your Own Inhouse Worksheet Example 2 -- General Maintenance and Service Life Fundamentals This company wishes to improve the longevity and life of their hydraulic systems. They feel they can accomplish this through a more focused approach to those aspects that will impact the life and reliability of hydraulic systems. They choose to attain a better understanding of heat leakage and contamination in their system. Therefore, this company chose the material shown in the seminar worksheet for a technical seminar. They adjusted the time spent on each topic to stay within the recommended schedule for a two day presentation. Design Your Own Inhouse Worksheet Example 1 -- Hydraulic Pump Fundamentals This company has several new young engineers. In addition, they wish to improve and expand their hydraulic pump line. They choose the material shown on the seminar worksheet. Notice that they select to discuss the Fundamental Fluid Power Engineering and Hydraulic Power Source longer than suggested while Seals for Hydraulics and Design Mechanics is shortened. The discussions of various topics from which the selections are made can be lengthened or shortened to fit the customer s need. Such scheduling will need approval before finalizing the customer s seminar.
