DECLARATION OF COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS (EC) No. 1935/2004 AND No. 2023/2006 We hereby state that Metsä Board folding boxboards and kraftliners are in compliance with the Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and the Regulation (EC) No. 2023/2006. Products listed in Annex I are tested for suitability for food contact and the raw materials compliance with regulation is confirmed by an independent laboratory. The regulations and recommendations are listed in Annex II. Special instructions to be observed for sale and appropriate use are supplied as part of business transaction. Identity of materials and instructions for food contact use On respect of their chemical and organoleptic properties these products are suitable as packaging materials for food as described in tables in Annex. Products are made of primary fibres and additives approved according to the German recommendation XXXVI of BfR and USA regulations of FDA, 21 CFR, parts 170 189, as described in the supporting document of the declaration of compliance. Products are manufactured for food contact in Metsä Board Paperboard production units in compliance with good manufacturing practice and quality management system certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 22000.
