Captain Nick Cutler, MCA Master 3,000 GRT Class IV About Me. I have been professionally involved full time in many diverse facets of the Marine industry for the past 25 years. I cut my teeth in dinghy sailing as a very small boy and have followed a path on the ocean wave since being able to start my career as a Shipwright Boatbuilder when leaving school and choosing the traditional Apprenticeship route to further education. In this time I have gained an extensive all-round knowledge of the boating industry and through my passion for yachts have been fortunate to travel the world aboard them. I have been involved in full commissioning and refit programs for large charter companies and private projects alike. I have performed in house project management of many maintenance & refit projects including large ABS class surveys. With my employment history I have gained a healthy marine engineering knowledge and have a strong hands on approach to my work. I have Captained Charter and Private yachts in a variety of international destinations with an in-depth knowledge and love of those local waters and cultures. I have an impressive track record with client and guest satisfaction in the large sailing yacht charter world and have cruised with many high profile clientele. I have a credible amount of Blue-water sea-time in command situations and have subsequently logged well in excess of 150,000 nautical miles. I am also a fully qualified Shipwright. I am considered by my employers and piers as one of the industries professionals. This is directly reflected in the standard of vessels that have been in my care and the longevity and stable environment I provide to the owners, vessels and crew under my command. I have the HIGHEST Safety, Seamanship and Personal standards which I am proud to stand behind 100% and never compromise or shortcut. All Documentation, Commands and Mileage logged are Attested by the Professional Yachts Association and the Maritime Coastguard Agency in the UK and are in date & CURRENT.
