4 Owner/Captain of 58-foot double-ended ketch, Cruising East Coast of Florida, Bahamas, and the Keys Project Manager/Captain of rebuild of 70 foot Trumpy. Job duties were getting bids on various sections of the refit, handling payroll for all contractors, scheduling times for contractors, doing daily reports to owner who was located in Tanzania, Africa. Worked closely with the owner and yacht designer for new interior, supervised carpenter crew for 80% new bottom (New floor timbers, frames, knees, and planking) supervised new carpenter crew brought in from Africa for interior and help secure crew visas for working in the U.S. Also found best deals for purchasing of new main engines and generator. Commission of 62 foot Kanter for new owner. The boat had just finished a 5-year circumnavation. Pulled rudder and replaced bearing, rebeded all pilot house windows, replaced all exhaust, replaced all bad hoses, rewired electronics, replaced steering cables, ran all new ducting for air conditioner and installed new unit. Supervised and hired contractors to install new galley tops, sinks, and head tops, replaced overhead, all new cushions (helped with design), supervised revarnishing of interior, Supervised of wiring change from European to American. Handled all payroll and daily reports to owner who was located in New York. Project Manager of 48 foot Kady Krogen, Whaleback, Beaufort NC. Supervised rebuild of Cat Diesel, Stabilizers, and punch list from surveyor. Rebuild of 58 foot 1935 William Mc Bride ketch. Rewired all of boat, added a new generator, water maker, hot and cold running water, rebuilt owners cabin, added new shower, rebuilt galley adding a new refridge and deep freezer, installed new windlass, all new main salon cushions, installed new shaft log, replaced 26 frames, 15 new planks, installed all new rigging, purchased all new winches and installed. Contractor for various Palm Beach County Boat Yards. Skills include re-wiring boats, electronic installations, re-rigging masts, installing bow thrusters, repairing mast steps, plumbing, and carpenter jobs. (Making rub-rails, toe-rails, covering boards, hatches, teak and holly floors, recaulking teak decks) St. Tropez yacht charters of St. Thomas U.S.V.I. Dock supervisor, ran the crew to repair the 42 boats as they came in from bareboat charter. (Repair of bilge pumps, heads, stoves, water systems, etc) Yacht deliveries of the boats for St. Tropez yacht charters. Delivered new boats from Maryland U.S.A to St Thomas, USVI. The fleet was C & C 36 footers, C & C landfall 42 s and Morgan 41 s Mate on Ocean foot schooner from St. Thomas to New Orleans, LA. Mate on 85-foot schooner from St. Thomas to Boston via Bermuda.
