Prior to using Power BI, creating Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards for their customers was a laborintensive and costly task, which included error-prone manual exporting and hard-coded programming. 2016 Temp AS, is one of the largest temporary staffing agencies in Norway. They have been using CRM Norge s Staffing and Recruitment Solution, a managed application built on top of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, successfully for years. Since Amesto Top Temp thrives from the commission they receive from placing temporary workers, they needed a better way to visualize this data to make better business decisions. Thee Chief Financial Officer would update a series of Excel spreadsheets once a month, but since most of the datasets were so large, it was difficult and time consuming to keep track of them. Claim handling industry gaps Another one of CRM Norge s customers is an insurance claim handling company comprised of approximately 50 agents. In order to maximize efficiency, they need visibility into how much time each claim handler takes on each case, what stage of processing he or she is involved in, and where the case usually gets blocked. This would show the agents where they are spending more time in comparison to other agents, and be able to easily explain why a closed case was declined or accepted. The agents have around 200-300 cases at a time, some running from months even to years. The agents supervisors have no way of keeping track of each agent s performance, and have to involve IT every time they need certain information. Breakthrough solution As part of Microsoft s CSP program, CRM Norge packaged Power BI into their Microsoft Dynamics CRM Staffing and Recruitment Solution, completely transforming their offering. They have also added Office 365, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Intune into the solution. Now, Amesto Top Temp can use Power BI to extract timesheet data from the staffing solution in Dynamics CRM and analyze the revenue, track sick leave, and more. The solution is also able to assign and accept temporary workers, collect their timesheets, invoice, and distribute the salaries. The staffing agency is able to easily conduct their own analyses and recourse with the click of a button, they are able to conduct their own analysis to determine whether their revenue is on target and where the deficits, if any, originate.
