Global Approach Visa runs a global financial literacy initiative that is localised for each country, allowing for customisation based on an area s level of economic development, cultural standards, educational needs, government priorities and target audiences Personal finance messages and mediums are tailored for each region Third party partners (governments, schools, banks, NGOs) are actively engaged to improve reach, awareness and impact of educational programmes

Programme highlights: SEE - Serbia Visa Young Leaders First Young Leaders youth conference in June 2009 Engage some of the best young Serbian talent to examine their beliefs, options, and standpoints around socio-economic, cultural, and ecological issues, and to promote financial literacy Topics discussed included the EU integration process and its perception, independence and financial literacy, and leaving or staying in Serbia Second conference in November 2009. Topics included: Young people and the media today, and how young people in Serbia perceive money Third event May 2010 - topics included employment and finances, and saving and investing Fourth event September 2010 - topics included youth and local community and youth financial literacy. All events supported by Ministry of Youth and Sport last event supported by National Bank of Serbia.

Campus education seminars underway with universities in Manila, Cebu and Davao. Singapore Taiwan Visa works with universities to advocate inclusion of financial education in general studies curriculum. Australia Visa has alliance with the Australian Government s Financial Literacy Task Force. Visa joined the Association of Banks in Singapore and the Singapore Management University to launch Practical Money Skills for Life. More than 100 educators from more than 25 schools have been trained.
