Meet Our Presenters Wes Powell is the President and owner of TMR Direct. TMR Direct is a direct marketing agency that combines inbound and outbound marketing strategies and execution to help their clients grow their businesses. Wes started his career building houses at age 17. He worked as a homebuilder and developer for many years and built over 300 homes. In 1996 Wes transitioned into marketing with the purchase of TMR Direct. He has a Marketing MBA and has also taught Marketing, Management and Strategic Management as a full time college professor. In his spare time, you can find Wes in his garage, on a trial somewhere in the Front Range or eating a bowl of ice cream. Ken Sutter was named Manager of the Business Mail Entry unit in Denver in August 20011. The Denver BME acts as the lead Business Mail department for the Postal Service in The Colorado/Wyoming District which includes some of the largest mailers in the western United States such as Dish Network and Focus on the Family. Sutter manages the Business Mail induction for 2.7 million deliveries with commercial Revenue of $417 million covering an area of 201,000 square miles. Sutter began his Postal career in 1988 as a general clerk in Schaumburg, Illinois and furthered his training to become a Bulk Mail Technician in 1990. He then took on the various roles of Business Mail Entry Supervisor, Trainer and Business Mail Analyst. In 2009 Sutter was promoted to Mailing Standards Specialist in the Northern Illinois District which led him to accept his current position in Denver. Carol Hoffman, is a Business Development Representative for Appleton Coated. She is a seven time Appleton Coated Excellence Award winner recognized for increase sales year over yar, product mix and corporate end-user initiatives. She has worked directly with a number of Fortune 500 companies to educate and introduce the importance of paper choices to enhance their brand with consistent marketing messaging while contributing to their sustainability goals. Carol began her career in paper with Westvaco in a novel role in specification sales, driving end users to be aware of the impact of paper on their print spend and coordinate efforts with key printer partners. Carol lives in St. Louis with her husband; a print sales rep at the time they met..since diversified and their three children George Heinrich, The Postal Professor has been in the mailing industry for forty years. Along with owning two direct mail companies, he has served in leadership positions for some of the country s most respected graphic communication corporations. Currently he is providing training and consulting services to numerous printing and mailing organizations throughout the United States.

A frequent speaker at industry related conferences; he is an active member of MFSA, PIA and currently serves on the Executive Board of the Denver PCC. Leo Raymond is Vice President, Postal and Member Relations, for the Association of Marketing Service Providers, based in Alexandria, Virginia. He was formerly the associations Director of Postal Affairs and served as Interim President from August to November 2008. He serves AMSP members nationwide regarding general postal questions, mailing problems and related government issues and supports AMSP s educational and chapter-based programs. Leo came to the Association in March 2003 upon his retirement from a career with the US Postal Service that spanned over 35 years. Leo holds a Bachelor s degree in History from North Adams State College and has studied at the Darden Graduate School of the University of Virginia. Leo and his family live in Northern Virginia. Who & What is The Greater Denver PCC? The Greater Denver PCC is organized to work for the best mail service possible by establishing a means of regular communications between postal customers and the local postal managers that will provide opportunities for the exchange of ideas and suggestions. Our mission is to ensure the postal customers are aware of the latest changes in postal services, requirements and rates and to educate the mailing public to make the most efficient use of postal products and services.
