Our program offers core courses and electives specifically designed for our MPP students. Located at the University of Calgary, this is one of the most practical and relevant public policy degree programs in Canada. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Faculty of Graduate Studies Requirements Students must first satisfy the Qualifications for Admission into the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Calgary as set out in the Faculty of Graduate Studies Calendar. Minimum requirements: Completion of a four-year bachelor s degree from a recognized university A grade point average of 3.0 or better (on the University of Calgary four-point system) in the last two years of undergraduate study. Degrees and grades from foreign institutions are evaluated for their equivalency to those of the University of Calgary. Proficiency in the English language School of Public Policy Requirements Meeting the minimum qualifications for admission into the Faculty of Graduate Studies does not ensure admission to the MPP program since competitive entry requirements will be significantly higher than this minimum. In addition to the minimum qualifications for admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies, The School of Public Policy requires: A minimum 3.3 grade point average (on the four point scale) in the last two years of the student s undergraduate program or over the last ten full course equivalents; A current resume/curriculum vitae; Two letters of reference; A personal statement outlining the applicant s career goals and how the applied-for program would help achieve those goals; and, For students required to prove proficiency in English, a minimum TOEFL score of 600 (written test), 250 (computer-based test) or 100 (internet-based test) or a score of at least 7.0 on the IELTS. The test must have been taken within the last two years. Interview (at the discretion of the department; either in person or via telephone/skype)

Students are automatically considered for these awards at the time their application for admission is assessed. RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE SCHOOL OF PUBLIC POLICY Research Assistantships are available to students upon the completion of the MPP program and depending upon the availability of positions with an assigned faculty member. JOINT DEGREES For Israeli students coming to Canada, the program provides a great opportunity to expand horizons by learning about a G-7 country that has been open to a diverse population in its history.
