Introductory Course Hotel Reception The front office of the hotel plays a central role in the successful operation of a hotel. Guests identify the staff at the front desk as a reflection of the quality they can expect from the hotel, so you are always in the spotlight. The Hotel Reception programme is a Provider Programme. Grade 10 (Std 8). You should be able to complete this course within 6-12 months. Introductory Course Food and Beverage Control The control of food and beverages is a very specialised function within the hotel environment, and usually includes the restaurant, bars, room service, banqueting, purchasing and the kitchen. The Food and Beverage Control programme is a Provider Programme. Grade 10 (Std 8). You should be able to complete this course within 6-12 months. Communication & Guest Relations Purchasing, Control & Catering I Hygiene You are required to hand in 6 written assessments. Certificate in Food and Beverage Control. 4

Introductory Course Food and Beverage Service Customer service, procedures, menus and the various restaurant functions are highlights of this course. The Food and Beverage Service programme is a Provider Programme. Grade 10 (Std 8). You should be able to complete this course within 6-12 months. Communication & Guest Relations Food and Beverage Studies Hygiene You are required to hand in 6 written assessments. Certificate in Food and Beverage Services. 5

Supervisory Course Front Office Supervision This course will develop your knowledge of the theoretical aspects of front office supervision. The front office is the focal point of a smoothly-run and successful hotel and the supervisor contributes to achieving and maintaining efficient front office operations. The Front Office Supervision programme is a Provider Programme. Grade 10 (Std 8). You should be able to complete this course within 6-12 months. Communication & Guest Relations Front of House I Accommodation Services Hospitality Management I You are required to hand in 6 written assessments. Certificate in Front Office Supervision. 6

Supervison Course Food Services Supervision Food service is a highly complex area, and this course develops your knowledge in the procedures and the supervision of the food service department. The food service departments of the hotel have to provide quality service as well as excellent food and beverages. Knowledge of procedures and service skills in this area is essential. The Food Services Supervision programme is a Provider Programme. Grade 10 (Std 8). You should be able to complete this course within 6-12 months. Communication & Guest Relations Hospitality Management I Hygiene Food & Beverage Studies Catering Theory I You are required to hand in 9 written assessments. Certificate in Food Services Supervision. 7

Supervison Course Housekeeping Supervision The aim of this course is to develop your theoretical competencies and supervisory skills with the objective of becoming a housekeeper for a hotel. The Housekeeping Supervision programme is a Provider Programme. Grade 10 (Std 8). You should be able to complete this course within 6-12 months. Management Course Rooms Division Management The rooms division of the hotel is the largest and often the determining factor in the success of a hotel. You will learn about rooms division procedures and departments, as well as the theory of supervision. The Rooms Division Management programme is a Provider Programme. Grade 12 (Std. 10). You should be able to complete this course within 12-18 months.
