This fee will go toward your tour. If you decide at any time during the planning stage to cancel, this nonrefundable deposit will default to a cost fee for services rendered thus far. THIS DEPOSIT IS NONREFUNDABLE. Note: Some tours require additional costs to be paid in the initial deposit due to special permits required for the tour. EX: Inca Trail, Gorilla Tracking Permits
Final Payment Final payment will be due upon all confirmations. Payment may be made by check or credit card. Note: Credit card payment may incur a processing fee of 3% or more on the total tour cost. Some ground operators are paid by wire transfer and in this case check payment is the required form. Outside the USA: Payment is made by wire transfer SMALL GROUPS and ESCORTED TOURS A deposit of $600.00 per person is required to confirm a space on an escorted tour. THIS DEPOSIT IS NONREFUNDABLE. Note: An additional amount may also be requested due to the type of tour and services provided. For group tours operated solely by Travels with Teri a deposit is taken by check but not applied, until the minimum number of travelers have submitted a signed booking form making the tour s departure date guaranteed. If the group tour departure is guaranteed, this deposit is nonrefundable. Full payment is due after confirmations are made or in some cases 90 days prior to the trip s departure. Below is a list of standard services offered in addition to independent & small group tours and their fees : - Consultation trip planning with guaranteed booking with Travels with Teri - complimentary - *Consultation trip planning booking on own - $75.00 per hour *Note: A trip consultation which checks specific travel information such as internal flight departures, train schedules and hotel availability is provided for a service fee which is calculated according to the amount of research time involved. We arrange independent travel and small group tours of 2-12 people. Our focus is on genuine cultural and environmental interactions through our specialty themed tours. So what exactly is a custom specialty tour? A custom specialty tour is designed just for you. It is a land tour which includes private airport/hotel transfers, hotels, internal airfare and privately guided tours. This tour is can be any dates, any place and any way that you want to travel. Custom tours meet your personal wants and needs. Transfers: You will be met upon airport arrival after clearing customs outside of ground transportation by a land operator s representative who will be holding a sign with your name on it. You will be provided the land operator s contact information if there are any problems.
Hotels: Requested hotels are subject to availability. A hotel may available at the time of the original quote but unavailable at the time of booking. In this case a similar hotel will be confirmed. No hotel change of this nature will be made without your consent. Air: Internal Air Internal flights in many countries change their times and operations close to the travel date. All internal flights are monitored by land operators to avoid mishaps with flights and transfers. International air can be done upon request. Tours: Privately guided tours may be a half day or a full day. You will be met at the airport or your hotel and driven to your destination. After your tour ends you be driven back to your hotel or to the airport for your flight onward. Any meals included are according to your itinerary although most custom tours are on a board and breakfast basis only. Groups: A custom tour can be for the single traveler but is cost quoted based on double occupancy. A single cost supplement applies. The tour may be with as many travelers as you like. A group of 10 or more people may qualify for a discounted rate. BASIS of RATES All prices are based on two persons sharing a room or cabin. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars. The rates are based on current tariffs and are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. While we will do everything possible to maintain the listed prices, if it is necessary to levy a surcharge, we reserve the right to do so, and notification will be given at the time of final invoicing. Single/Shared Accommodations A limited number of single rooms/cabins are available at an extra cost on a first-come, first-served basis. We will assist persons requesting a roommate. Participants will be notified if a suitable roommate is not available, in which case the single rate will be charged. Included/Not Included At the bottom of each itinerary will be a section which clearly states what services are included and what services are not included.
PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, and REFUNDS Forms of Payment Payment for travel may be made by check payment or credit card and is subject to deposit and final payment regulations. Note: Credit card payment may incur a processing fee of of 3% or more on the total tour cost. Please refer to above payment information on booking form regarding deposits/final payments. CANCELLATION POLICY Independent Tours are NONREFUNDABLE Travel arrangements are subject to cancellation and change penalties per noted on your invoice/itinerary. International airlines have cancellation and change penalties plus additional processing charges apply. International air tickets as well as Internal air tickets may have a nonrefundable policy. Cancellation and change fees will be stated on your invoice/itinerary for your particular tour. Small Group and Escorted Tours Cancellations made by the traveler are subject to penalties and processing fees according to date of cancellation and as stated on your final itinerary. Refunds Please refer to your cancellation and change policy per your tour. All cancellation and change requests for either private or escorted tours must be submitted in writing. ITINERARY CHANGES Itineraries are subject to modification and changes by Travels with Teri or its designated tour operator. Every reasonable effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but alterations may still occur after final itineraries are sent. Travels with Teri reserves the right to cancel any tour which does not meet the minimum requirement of travelers. If travelers wish to continue on the tour when the minimum required travelers have not been met, additional charges will apply.
TRIP INSURANCE Trip insurance is required for all tours and may be processed directly with Travels with Teri or a proof of policy must be provided if done on own. All travel arrangements are subject to cancellation and change penalties and are nonrefundable near the departure date as stated on your invoice/itinerary in the cancellation/change policy. You must refer to your trip insurance policy for information regarding your coverage which pertains to trip cancellation or changes per your tour arrangements. Trip insurance is to protect your trip investment in the case of an unforeseen event. Policy # (if purchased on own): HEALTH REQUIREMENTS You must be in good physical and mental health. Any physical condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when the reservation is made.
