Topic#: 002777 Created: April 2013 Introduction Intermec Launcher (formerly ilaunch) is a configurable locked-down menu program that prevents end-users from accessing the start menu and other non-authorized applications. When installing Mobile Intelatrac using the Cab File installation method, Intermec Devices use this application to restrict their operators from accessing applications outside of their assigned tasks. Intelatrac Administrators often request instruction on how to access and customize their password. The following steps will demonstrate how to set a new password for Intermec Launcher (ilaunch). This Tech Note explains locating and altering the menu.ini in order to create custom password entry on handheld devices. Copy and replace Menu.ini file back into the Launcher folder (Device Root\IntermecCK60\Flash File Store\Launcher). 11. Warm boot the handheld device by holding down the power button until the handheld resets. 12. The new Password is now successfully updated for this handheld device. Procedure: Windows XP (Active Sync) 1. Connect your Intermec device via USB to a machine running Windows Active Sync. 2. You'll receive information about your sync; Click OK and proceed. Locate cpwd & erase the encrypted password, then locate the pwd section and type a new numeric/textual password.
