The MPA program provides a collaborative, engaged and intellectual learning environment where students discuss practical and theoretical concepts of public administration. These concepts, presented in cultural, economic, historical, political and social contexts, teach students to define and pursue public interest. Classes in the online Masters of Public Administration program help students develop skills in critical reasoning, analyze public service and take positions on policy and public administration issues. Program graduates have strong skills in critical thinking, decision-making, policy analytics and written and oral communication. Students can customize the program to fit their career goals and personal interests. The program offers electives, and students can complete an internship or thesis. The internship option provides development opportunities in non-profit or public organizations. The thesis option gives students a more academic approach to the MPA program and prepares students to pursue a doctorate in the field.
