System Requirements Please make sure that your computer system meets all the software and hardware requirements before installing LEGENDplex TM Data Analysis Software. Hardware: Pentium Dual CPU 2.16G or faster 2 GB RAM or higher 50 GB or more free hard disk space 1200 X 1024 or higher display resolution (Desktop) 1440 X 900 or higher display resolution (Desktop wide screen) 1280 X 800 or higher display resolution (Laptop wide screen) Software: Windows : Windows 7 (32 bit/64 bit), Windows 8 (32 bit/64 bit) Microsoft.Net Framework v4.5 required (included with installation package) Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (included with installation package) The installation steps are very straightforward. Please just follow the instructions on the computer screen. Some required software pieces are compiled together with LEGENDplex Data Analysis Software and will be installed automatically. New Installation Use LEGENDplex TM disc or download the software package from BioLegend website (http://www.biolegend.com/legendplex/) or VigeneTech website (http://www.vigenetech.com/lp7tdownload.asp) to install: 1. Double click setup.exe in the installation package, a dialog box will prompt: 1
2. Click Install, the Visual C++ installation window will prompt: 3. Click Install, and follow the instructions on the screen. After Visual C++ has been installed successfully, the LEGENDplex TM installation interface will pop up. 2
4. Click Next. 3
5. Read the License Agreement and if the terms of the agreement are acceptable, select I Agree and then click Next. 4
6. Click Browse to select a destination folder and click Next. The default software installation folder is: C:\Program Files\VigeneTech\LEGENDplex. Note: The permission settings need to be set to Full control for the installation folder. 5
7. Enter your registration information in the Name, E-mail Address and Organization fields. Click Next. 8. The Trial License dialog box will prompt. Click Yes to run the software on a trial version, click No to proceed s set up of software license. 6
9. Click Close on the interface to complete the installation. Re-installation If you need to re-install the software, but keep your current license, you can follow the steps below to do the re-installation. 1. Uninstall Current Version: Before you re-do installation, you need to remove any existing version currently installed on your computer. You can use the Microsoft feature of Add and Remove Programs in the Control Panel on your computer. 7
2. Re-do installation: Follow the steps of the New Installation in this guide. Using Trial License Before you get the product license, the user can use a trial license for 30 days to start LEGENDplex TM Data Analysis Software. To use the Trial version, you must choose to use Trial License while installing the program. When you launch LEGENDplex TM, the Trial License dialog box will pop up. Click Yes to launch the program. If it expires, you can reinstall it and use the trial version for another 5 days. Using the Dongle After you installed LEGENDplex TM, you need to insert a dongle (a physical thumb drive that has a license key on it) to the USB port of your computer. LEGENDplex TM will detect it automatically. LEGENDplex will not launch without the dongle. Note: you need to insert the dongle before you start LEGENDplex TM. Each dongle has 2600 data points on it. The points consumed after one analysis is the analyte number multiplied by the number of files to be analyzed. During the analysis process, a message will tell you the dongle status in every step. 8
When you generate a report or save any result data, a dialog box will prompt you whether to continue.. 9
