The parent/guardian will pay, in advance, a nonrefundable fee directly to the music instructor, at the beginning of each month by either cash or bank transfer. 2. Returning music students must also pay a non-refundable one month in advance fee directly to their instructor on the day of signup to secure their place for the new semester. 3. If the child or parent/guardian decides to discontinue or terminate lessons, he / she must inform the instructor and SWEP Coordinator, in written form, 14 days in advance, in order to allow enough time for that instructor to find a replacement. 4. Once the parent/guardian agrees to a day and time for a music lesson this must be adhered to. The instructor cannot be expected to change the days of lesson times on an ad hoc basis. 5. If your child is unable to attend a lesson for any reason, the parent/guardian must inform the instructor. However, the instructor is not obliged to refund money or to reschedule the missed lesson. 6. If the instructor has to cancel a lesson, he / she will notify the student s parent/guardian and the SWEP Coordinator as soon as possible. The instructor will try to reschedule the class but if this is not possible he / she is obliged to refund the money for that class. 7. Private music lessons for beginner and intermediate students at the elementary and middle school level must be charged at the fee scale set by SFS. These fixed prices are: 55,000 won for 60 minutes, 40,000 won for 45 minutes, and 30,000 won for 30 minutes. For advanced students in the middle and high school music instructors are able to set their own fee scale. 8. The class will begin and end promptly at the times agreed upon by the instructor and SWEP Coordinator. In all cases, the instructor and student(s) will leave the school premises no later than 6:00 p.m. 9. The instructor will not allow students to remain in the facility space unattended, especially at the conclusion of the class while the student(s) are waiting to be picked up. 10. In the event that a student walks homes after the end of a class without a parent/guardian, the instructor will require a note from the parent/guardian which will be kept on file. 11. If a parent/guardian is repeatedly late in picking up his or her child, then the instructor will contact the SWEP Coordinator. SFS will not be responsible for the supervision of students after normal SFS school hours. 12. If students are sent home early due to weather conditions, the SWEP Coordinator will attempt to notify the instructor as soon as possible so that they may contact the parent(s) and cancel the lesson. 13. In the case of any misunderstandings or queries, the parent should first contact the child s music instructor. If not resolved, the SWEP Coordinator has the right to intervene until a satisfactory resolution is reached. 14. You may contact the SWEP Coordinator, Jack Moon, if you have questions or concerns (330-3113, jack.moon@seoulforeign.org) I have read and understand the above terms and conditions and agree to be bound by the same.
