1.1 Installing the SIM Card, SD Card and Battery 1. Getting Started A SIM card carries useful information, including your mobile phone number, PIN (Personal Identification Number), PUK (PIN Unlocking Key), IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity), network information, phonebook data, and short messaging data. Installation Hold the End Key and power off the mobile phone if the phone is powered on. Pull the back cover and remove it. Pull the battery outward and remove the battery. Insert the SIM card into the SIM card slot ensuring that the card is properly aligned and that the gold contact of the card is facing down. The SD card is a mobile storage card that the phone may utilize to store different files. Please insert the SD card into the SD card slot. Insert the battery with the gold contacts of the battery facing the metallic contacts in the battery slot and press the battery down until it locks into place. Phone Lock Code The phone lock code is a security measure that may be set to prevent your mobile phone from unauthorized use. The initial phone lock code is set to 1122 and may be changed by the user. Once the lock code is set, it will need to be inputted when powering on the mobile phone. PIN The PIN (Personal identification number 4 to 8 digits) code prevents your SIM card from unauthorized use. -3-

Once a PIN lock is enabled, you will need to input the PIN any time the phone is powered on. The SIM card will lock if the PIN code is inputted incorrectly three consecutive times. To Unlock: - Input the correct PUK to unlock the SIM card. - Input the new PIN and press the Selection key. - Input the new PIN again to verify and then press the Selection key. - If the input PUK is correct, the SIM card will be unlocked and the PIN will be reset. Note: The SIM card will be locked if you input wrong PIN code three times. To unlock the SIM card, you need to input the PUK. The PUK code can be obtained from the network operator. 2. Input Type The mobile phone provides the following keys: Dial key Press it to place a call by entering the called number or selecting a contact from the phonebook; or press it to receive an incoming call; or press it in standby state to show the latest call records End key Press it to end a call being dialed or end an ongoing call; or press it to exit the menu and return to the standby state; or hold it for two or three seconds to power on or off the mobile phone. Left and right soft key The bottom line on the screen displays the functions of the Left and Right soft key. Direction key Press them to scroll the options when browsing a function list. In edit state, press direction keys to -4-

navigate. OK/Selection key Press it to confirm your selection. Delete key Press it to delete a character before cursor. Linefeed This key helps to switch to another line when the interface is in the edit interface. Shift key Press this key to switch between input methods. Space key Use this key for a blank space. Sym key Press it in the edit interface to input a symbol. Alt key In edit interface, press it to input an alternative symbol or number. Audio player key Press key to access audio player interface. TV key Press key to access TV interface. Number and letters Press number keys or letter keys to in input or edit state to input numbers or letters. -5-

1.2 Messaging 3. Menu Guide Write Message: Through this feature you can create, read, or send a new message. Inbox: Received messages are listed in this location. Drafts: Drafts messages are listed in this location. Outbox: The messages which failed delivery are temporarily stored in the Outbox. Sent Messages: Sent messages are listed in this location. Broadcast Messages: This network service enables you to receive a variety of text messages such as broadcast messages about weather forecast or road conditions. At the present time, few networks provide this service. Please consult with your network operator. Templates: Provides several default message replies. Message Settings:This function enables default message settings. 1.3 Call History The call center keeps record of missed calls, dialed calls and received calls. 1.4 Calculator To use the calculator: Press the up, down, left, right and middle key to select +, -,,, = respectively. 1.5 Contacts The phonebook feature allows you to store, browse, edit, and delete phone numbers in your phone. You may also save some limited contacts in the SIM card and the amount of numbers the card can store depends on the -6-

storage capacity of the SIM card. 1.6 Settings Push Messenger: Push messaging is available through this feature. Please contact your service provider for service availability. Profiles: The mobile phone provides multiple user profiles that may be customized to specific events and environments. Customize the user profiles according to your preference and then activate the user profiles. The user profiles fall into four selections: General, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor and My Style. When you insert an earpiece to the mobile phone, the mobile phone automatically enters the Headset mode. There is no option for activating the Headset mode on the screen. If you set Call Settings» Advanced Settings» Answer Mode to Any Key: all incoming calls will be automatically answered with any key. Dual SIM Settings: Adjust open SIM slots. Phone Settings: This function allows adjustment in time, date, language, shortcuts, and other changes. Note: When flight mode is engaged, it will suspend signal-transmitting functions thereby disabling the device's capacity to place or receive calls or text messages. Other functions that do not require signal transmission (e.g., games, built-in camera, and audio player) are still available. Call Settings: You can set call waiting, call divert, call barring, line switching. Advanced Settings: Blacklist, Auto redial, Call time reminder, Answer mode, Call time display, and other settings. Network Settings: Set Network Selection and GPRS preferences. Security Settings: The security settings ensure the device is protected from unauthorized use. Connectivity: Data account settings. Notification Settings: Adjust notification settings for different applications. Restore Settings: Use this function to restore factory settings. The pre-set password is 1122. -7-

Shortcuts: Allows configuring application shortcut settings. 1.7 Audio Player Use this feature to play audio files and control the audio player by pressing the direction keys: Play/Pause (Up direction key), Previous Song/Next Song (Left/Right direction key), Fast Forward and Rewind (Long press Left/Right direction key), Stop (Down direction key). In audio player interface, you can press I/- or O/+ key to adjust the volume. 1.8 Mobile TV This function allows you to watch mobile TV. Note: The mobile TV application only accepts OTA analog TV transmission signals. 1.9 Camera The phone provides a camera feature to capture pictures. In the camera interface, you may press the Selection key to take a picture and may press up or down Direction key to zoom in and zoom out. Press menu for camera options. 1.10 Organizer WLAN/Wi-Fi: Access Wi-Fi through this feature. Bluetooth: Bluetooth allows you can make a wireless connection to other compatible devices such as mobile phones, computers, headsets and car kits or send images, video clips, and sound. File Manager:You may use the file manager to conveniently manage various directories and files on the phone and the SD card and allows you to format data in the memory. -8-

Games: A game named F1 race is embedded in the phone. For specific operation, please refer to help option of the game. Alarm: Five alarm clocks are set but deactivated by default. You can activate one, multiple or all of them as needed. For each alarm clock, the ringing time can be set. Calendar: This feature provides a monthly-view calendar to keep track of important appointments and daily events. Tasks: Add and manage important tasks to your day. Stopwatch: Calculate and record time through the stopwatch feature. World Clock: Set world clock based on time zone. Notes: Add notes as reminders. Ebook Reader: The Ebook reading supports.txt files. Java: This feature provides Java software platform. Java Settings: This feature allows Java configuration. STK: STK is a SIM card toolkit. The information provided varies depending on service provider availability. 1.11 Multimedia Other multimedia features include: Mobile TV: Use this menu option to enter the Mobile TV application. Camera: Use this menu option to access the camera. Image Viewer: Use this feature to view pictures or images. Video Recorder: This function enables you to record video. -9-

Video Player: Use this feature to play video files. Audio Player: Use this menu option to access the audio player. Sound Recorder: The phone supports.wav and.amr file extensions. FM Radio: You can use the phone as a traditional FM radio. In the radio interface, you may press left or right direction key to search channels manually, press selection key to start/pause, or press I/- or O/+ key to tune volume. 1.12 BLU Club Blu Club: This function enables you to view the internet and set the default features about the network. You can log on Facebook, Skype, MSN, Yahoo, Twitter and Games etc. through a web page. 1.13 Opera Mini Use this feature to access basic web service.
