NursingCAS Applicant Q&A 1: NursingCAS will have a 3-day maintenance period, August 7-9, how will this impact my application? Answer: This will not impact your application. The information you entered into your application will remain the same before August 7, and after August 9. During August 7-9 you will not be able to log into your application. However, all of your application data will be carried over. And you will be able to log back into your application with your same user name and password on August 10, and your supporting 3
documents, such as transcripts and letters of recommendation, will also remain. 2: How do I check to see if my application has been verified by NursingCAS? Answer: Log into your application and on the main page, My Application. There is a menu item titled "Quick Status." Underneath "Quick Status," you can click on "GPA Calculations." In the GPA Calculations section, once your GPAs are calculated by NursingCAS, your application will be verified. The GPA calculations are generated based on the coursework data you enter in the Coursework section of your application. So it is important that you enter in all of your coursework data and send in all official transcripts so NursingCAS can verify your application, and the schools you have designated can make admissions decisions. Learn more about verification here or watch a video about how it works. 3: Will I need a copy of my official transcript(s) on hand when completing my NursingCAS application? Answer: Yes, you will need to access your official transcript(s) so you can complete the Coursework section of the application (this is a required section). So remember to obtain copies of your official transcript(s), so that you may correctly enter the Course Titles, Prefixes, and Numbers as they appear on your official transcript(s). If you do not report all course work, your application will be sent back to you for corrections, which will cause a delay in the review of your application. Enter all of the course work that you have taken at any US/Canadian Colleges and Universities you have attended in the Coursework section of your application.
