Specifications for VOIP Telephone System, Data Distribution and Protection and Associated Wireless Infrastructure All components of this RFP must be addressed RFPs that do not address VOIP telephone system, data distribution and protection, and associated wireless infrastructure will not be considered Vendors are required to attend the pre-project meeting and on-site walk through scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2008 at 10:30 am, convening at the District Office located at 650 N Cleveland, Moscow, Idaho Detailed design diagrams and specifications will be proposed by the vendors following the on-site visit Proposals must include installation and configuration Locations All schools and sites are located in Moscow, Idaho, Latah County Schools Russell Elementary 119 N Adams West Park Elementary 510 Home McDonald Elementary 2323 East D St Lena Whitmore Elementary 110 S Blaine Moscow Junior High School 1410 E D St Moscow High School 402 E 5 th Palouse Creek Regional High School 1314 S Main Non Instructional Facilities Support Services Facility 2245 White Ave District Office 650 N Cleveland Data Distribution and Protection Install data distribution hardware required to support multi-service LANS at the schools and sites listed above Install data protection hardware to secure distribution of data and voice to the schools This hardware may include switches, routers, muxs, converters, firewalls, VPN components, UPS, patch cables, and cabling Minimum requirements for these internal connections are as follows: 1 Gb backbone to the data closet 10/100 Mb to the desktop IEEE 8023af Power over Ethernet in all data closets Layer 3 switching QoS enabled UPS backup should be for a minimum of 30 minutes in each data closet All data systems platform and products must be See Appendix A for number of network ports and Appendix B the districts network diagram

Wireless LAN Install wireless access points to support mobile users within the schools Wireless data should cover each building within the school district The wireless systems may include controllers, switches, routers, access points, antennas, patch cables and cabling A full wireless survey should be conducted yielding a result based report of the districts needs Minimum requirements for this wireless data system are as follows: IEEE 8023af Power over Ethernet IEEE 80211n standards (compatible with 80211a/b/g) 80211i, WPA, WPA-2, 8021X and LEAP data encryption Unified controller-based Access points recommended per survey All data systems platform and products must be VOIP Phone System Install VOIP phone system to provide voice services using the District s data infrastructure and to provide a voice mail system This hardware may include call processing server, switches for line connections and switching, Power over Ethernet switches, voice gateways for analog and digital trunk connections, patch cables and cabling The district currently has 90 phone lines and 12 fax lines Minimum requirements for this IP phone system are as follows: SIP Compliant Support IMAP email protocol IEEE 8023af Power over Ethernet Unified messaging for up to 50 users Standard voice mail for up to 50 users Meet E911 requirements for emergency responders Building Survivability UPS backup should be for a minimum of 30 minutes in each data closet Cabling for data and voice runs as needed All data systems platform and products must be
