3.60 CEREC CONNECT INTERNET PORTAL EXPORT
Preparation: For posterior teeth you need to image from the farthest distal tooth on the quadrant through the canine. For anterior teeth image from bicuspid through bicuspid. Partial Bite: What we consider the antagonist on CEREC 3D. Take 3 images, 1 of the bite material, 1 of the distal neighbor and 1 of the mesial neighbor. The distal and mesial images must match in the prep and partial bite folders. Antagonist: These are images of the opposing arch. For posterior teeth take images from the farthest distal tooth on the quadrant through the canine. For anterior teeth image from bicuspid through bicuspid.
Check Models: Click on the Preparation, Partial Bite and Antagonist buttons to view the model of the images that were taken. If the multiple folders do not stitch, this step will not appear, it will keep you at your Optical Impression screen until there is enough information for the folders to stitch.
Trim Preparation: Trim as usual by cutting the distal and mesial neighbors out. (Some offices have had issues with the trim not cutting where the line is, if that occurs often, suggest they draw the trim line in a lasso around the prep area, this seems to work well.)
Preparation Margin: Draw the margin as usual. This is the last step before clicking on the Connect button to send. As always, after drawing the line check and make sure it has not fallen off anywhere. Be aware that even though this is the last step before sending, the green arrow will still be active. If you click the arrow it will erase your margin and you will be brought back to the Trim Preparation step. The icon is active in case you are doing a bridge and need to draw more margins. We have asked that this be changed on the next release or service pack.
Internet Portal Access: After clicking the Connect icon the Internet Portal Access Login box will display. The office will enter in their User name and Password and click OK.
