She was recently elected as the Social Chair for the health Law Society and has a diverse interest when it comes to the law. as of now, she plans to focus on family law after graduation. Last summer she interned for the albany County Public Defender s office in the Family Court and has worked on pro bono programs for Prisoners Legal Services of New York and attorney for the Day: Landlord/ Tenant projects. Cloutier Fordham Law School, New York, NY Candidate for Juris Doctor, May 2015 Intern at Salesforce ryan Cloutier is a rising thirdyear at Fordham University School of Law. ryan possesses a wealth of experience in privacy and cybersecurity developed though internships with the Law Department United States Postal Service and the Cybercrime and Identity Theft bureau of the New York County District attorney s office. ryan also co-authored a report on privacy and cloud computing in public schools with the Center on Law and Information Policy and is currently an associate editor on the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & entertainment Law Journal. Prior to entering law school ryan studied journalism. his work experiences were in consumer and business technology journalism focusing on cybersecurity issues and emerging threats. ryan hopes to use his experience in privacy and cybersecurity to contribute to policy development in these areas on a national level following graduation. Jakarri hamlin is a rising 2L at New York University School of Law where he serves as the chair of the academic Committee for the Black allied Law Students association. additionally, Jakarri is a member of the Community Development & economic Justice Clinic and acts as an advocate for the Suspension representation Project. Prior to law school, Jakarri attended Colgate University where he doubled majored in Sociology & anthropology and history and played on the Men s football team. he plans to further his studies in Corporate Law. Interns Alif Mia Fordham Law School, New York, NY Candidate for Juris Doctor, May 2015 Intern at Pitney Bowes alif Mia is a rising 3L at Fordham University School of Law. alif s family is from Bangladesh and he was raised in the Bronx. as an undergraduate, he attended the University of Florida where he studied Political Science and International relations. at Fordham Law, alif competes for the Negotiation Team of the Dispute resolution Society and also serves on the executive board of both the Committee on Diversity in Business Law and the Fordham Sports Law Forum. his prior work experience includes the Chamber of Commerce, Fordham s Consumer Litigation Clinic, and clerking at the Supreme Court of Ireland. She is also a Student ambassador (representing CUNY Law) at the New York City Bar association. Susan currently works as an intern at the United Nations Development Programme where she gains much exposure to the practice of transactional law. Susan received her Bachelor of arts degree in psychology and French from wellesley College. Interns Neera Roopsingh albany Law School, albany, NY Candidate for Juris Doctor, May 2015 Intern at office of General Counsel at ace Group Neera is a third-year student at albany Law School. She will be serving as the executive editor for research and writing for the albany Law review during the upcoming academic year. apart from her duties on albany Law review, she has previously served as the Vice President of the Latin american Law Student association and the Secretary of the Black Law Student association at albany Law School. Neera also enjoys pro-bono work and has been involved in several pro-bono projects including the Immigration assistance Project. During her undergraduate course of study, Neera volunteered with a small non-profit organization where she was involved in advocacy for the DreaM act, grass-roots organizing, and she helped to provide legal information to immigrant communities via a series of informational workshops. after graduation, Neera plans to use her education and experience to continue to give back to those in need and she hopes to forge a career in litigation. Anita Yee Brooklyn Law School, Brooklyn, NY Candidate for Juris Doctor, June 2015 Intern at Visiting Nurse Service of New York anita is a rising 3L at Brooklyn Law School. She is associate managing editor of the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial & Commercial Law and is also Co-chair for the education Law and Policy Society. anita is interested in working in the field of health law and after graduation, hopes to work in either healthcare policy or litigation in medical malpractice. In her spare time, she enjoys participating in a variety of pro bono projects. This past spring, she was chosen to participate in the Brooklyn Law alternative Spring Trip where she went to Florida Legal Services to work on the Community Justice Project to protect taxi driver rights and advocate for better treatment by taxi companies. anita received her Bachelor of arts in Politics from New York University.
